Welcome any feedback on ideas for segments or feedback in itself for the off-season.

Most important question though, should Mike continue with his yelling intro? The jury is out, listeners, we need your say.

Yes and you are in the Mike corner
No and you are in the Cam corner

In my opinion, no to the yelling intro.
Had a listen to the latest Wafl segment, and as usual the guys put in a top effort.

As part of the "Mike to Cam's WAFL Waffle" off-season we are going to detail 15 key points (one each week) that make up what we believe to be the key areas for ongoing growth of WAFL clubs and how a WAFL club can become a winner both on and off field. As with any sport and business, clubs are only limited by their lack of thinking and willingness to innovate. Mike to Cam believe in the current market the WAFL is crying out for innovation.

Key Concept One - Social Awareness
* Clubs need to be aware of the power in social media.
* Social media can be a tool to drive new supporters
* These new supporters open up new demographics to clubs and the competition as a whole
* All club news available to public through social media

Ideas to Harness Social Awareness
* Live stream feed of games
* Consolidation of roles to ensure that social media is included within a job description
* Twitter sessions for members of the playing group
* Focus on colts aged players promoting club and self through social media
* Using social media to help with recruitment of players
* Club based media posted online through stream, podcast etc...
* Using social media to make players feel part of club and club environment

Tune in next Tuesday as we release our second key concept that can help to build a premiership team and benchmark off field club in the WAFL.

Key Concept Two - List Development Local Talent
* Points system requires that a minimum of 12 and likely 14 players must be one point players
* Typically one point players are found within the local zone
* Hence work needs to be done in identifying a core group of 12-14 who can play a role in a premiership

Ideas to Harness List Development
* Understanding which senior players are going to be available for a premiership challenge
* Understanding which current development or colts players are capable of stepping up to league football
* Understanding which players are likely AFL bound and hence putting additional energy and time in players who will form a premiership team
* Understanding that role players can be 19 or 20 in a premiership team and hence looking at development squads for players who suit specific roles

Key Concepts
1. Social Awareness
2. List Development Local Talent

With a deal between the WAFL and Channel 7 imminent what should the WAFL have been demanding as part of its negotiations. Our take:

* 30 games contract (25 home and away, 1 state game, 4 finals including Grand final)
* Minimum of five games for each WAFL club covered
* Maximum of 15 games (half) for AFL aligned clubs
* AFL aligned club games showed in conjunction with AFL team matches
* Games to be broadcast live at 2.30pm WST where possible
* All other WAFL games to be played in 2015 at 2.20pm with all reserves games starting at 12.00pm and colts games starting at 9.30am
* Commitment that no games be broadcast head to head with AFL action
* Double header in the opening two rounds while no AFL games are being played
* TV games to be played at one of three Perth venues to save on costs

MrTripleC if only 3 grounds are proposed then surely East Perth, Subiaco, South Fremantle and Peel will gain a financial advantage in sponsorship and bar/food sales?
Peel, East Perth and Subiaco already have financial priviledges that others don't.
