EP look very well placed to go deeper in the finals.....their resurgence in 2023 season reminded me of EF 2022 resurgence. Can't see how Peel won't make the finals, going to be really tight for a top 5 spot.....too early to predict as yet....still plenty of time for some last minute gains n losses, plus pre season injuries.

I think Subi are the team to watch. Losing Z Clarke (assuming that is true) and Giro is a blow, but Foley and, in particular, Greg Clark, are huge additions. With Borchet finding his way back after a couple of seasons ruined by injury, I think they will have enough scoring power. By contrast, that remains EP achilles heel. They may ease Jones back in after his knee by playing him forward, but reinventing rucks as forwards doesn't often work. 

This time last year everyone had WP on top. I agree with you Ted, Subi are looking pretty imposing. EP and EF haven't changed too much and will be there abouts. I think Peel drop away - younger squad and lost Hamling, Colyer ect, who are replaced by kids. Hancock, Grey and Bell a year older. Perth to be the big movers - but to be honest - it feels like anyone could make the finals

I agree to a certain extent TN. Losing Zac Clarke will be a huge hit as Subi doesn't have a ready made replacement. After he left with a flag in 2018, we pinched hit with Delahunty who made up for being beaten in the ruck by getting it 30 times around the ground. We don't have anyone like that these days.

Based on that, I think we'll make the 5 but can't see us challenging EF or CL for the flag.

I think EF and Claremont will be even stronger this year.  EF really have only lost Dixon but gained Boekhurst, Strnadica and possibly Teakle.  I'm not sure how you're going to fit them all in but it's a nice problem for Bill to have.

The Tiges picking up Waterman and Fredericks will give then extra firepower up front which will be hard to match up on.  Interesting times indeed.
