Dear George,

Thank you for your email. As you are aware Ken has a very keen interest in the WAFL and the Swan Districts Football Club in particular. He has asked me to reply to your passionate and informative email. Ken will investigate the reasons for and ramifications of these decisions and will take your comments and valid points into serious consideration when having discussions on the issue. George, once again, thank you for taking the time to write.

Warm regards, Jill

Furious WAFL presidents will seek legal advice after the WA Football Commission told them East Perth and Peel could field up to six interstate recruits and have no restrictions on the number of AFL players each week when they align with West Coast and Fremantle in 2014.

The presidents are also incensed that any disgruntled Thunder or Royals players would be subjected to transfer fees if they sought more opportunities at other clubs.

"I don't know legally what our options are but we are going to continue to fight and we're not going to give up. We don't want to jeopardise our licences but we're not happy with it. We will continue to fight for a better deal.

"Jeopardise our licenses"? WTF are the pweak WAFC going to do if the WAFL clubs take action.....take their licenses away? OK, then the FFC & WCE reserves teams can form their own WAFL. Take the pricks on FFS. Our comp is doomed anyway.

Dear Mr Copley

Thank you for your email regarding the planned WAFL alignment between Peel FC, East Perth FC, West Coast Eagles FC and Fremantle FC in 2014.

We appreciate you bringing your concerns to the Government’s attention and have noted the points you have raised. We are also informed that you have written in similar terms to the Hon Terry Waldron, Minister for Sport and Recreation.

Accordingly, we have been advised that Mr Waldron is considering the matters raised by you and will arrange for a response to be forwarded to you as soon as possible.

Regards

Western Australian Government

Waldron should get involved because the WAFC are the very crew who are trying to run the stadium when its built. The government must be looking at WAFC and thinking what a bunch of amatures we are dealing with here.
Save the WAFL-keep batting hard Presidents
