Grassy wrote: Turn it up,Bazza,Dickie only dragged his chains off the Deck to build the Rail to Mandurah,to try and short circuit a Future Labor Government building the line down the Freeway to Mandurah, but did so in a Ridiculous direction for people to get to Mandurah, via Point Z,with No disrespect to Thornlie Folk.

But then Labor added to the bloodymindedly politics by blocking the end of the Thornlie Station,to prevent any attempt of a Future Liberal Givernment to shut their option down from the City and start rebuilding the Mandurah line,Dickie's way.It was stupidity at it's greatest, because the horse had bolted anyway, but they were loath to gave any credit given for directly linking the Thornlie/Armadale lined with the new Mandurah line.

Labor gets the credit it deserves for the Mandurah line, but both the Major Parties deserve a kick up the backside for playing stupid games. It still doesn't change the fact that the Liberal Party record on Metro Rail since 1979,gas been poor.

Their record from the Second World War to now is poor despite Bazza'a attempt to rewrite history.

Oh really ??? What about WA Inc....???

Bazza WE were discussing Perth passenger rail development. What has "WA inc" to do with THAT discussion? Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The only rationale is that you have conceded that the Liberal Party's record on development of rail transport in Perth is virtually non-existent.

Actually when you asked me about post war development in was TRANSPORT , no mention of Perth, and by the way I didn't know WA stopped at Bassendean Oval there is a entire state outside of the metro area..

Bazza how difficult was it for you to understand and I quote "The ONLY CHANCE Perth has of getting a decent rail network to cater for the projected increase in Perth's population is for us to elect an ALP government next March"?

With respect to post-Second World War it was because that is when the Liberal Party gained government for the first time.

Put as simpe as possible for you the Liberal Party's record WITH RESPECT TO PERTH'S PASSENGER RAIL TRANSPORT is appalling and virtually non-existent.

Bazza you can indulge in as many verbal gymnastics as you like but Barnett's BROKEN PROMISES with respect to Ellenbrook in concert with their financial incompetence is enough in and of itself to send Emperor Barnett into political oblivion.

Why the obsession with rail? given the vast majority of Perth and WA people travel by road and the entire state is reliant on road as a far more important asset I would of thought the ALP are actually miles behind on transport infrastructure. esp in the regions. Btw Rail Patronage has collapsed in last 2 yrs.

Obfuscation, denial, verbal gymnastics Bazza. If only that was an Olympic sport you would be a gold medal winner Bazza. There is no fixation on rail Bazza other than it being sound public policy to have a good integrated public policy. Now you are trying to give Emperor Barnett credit for not improving rail services and as a consequnce a drop in rail patronage.

For the record, when did Emperor Barnett last buy some rolling stock for the Midland line? We come back to his BROKEN PROMISES or were they just LIES? It may not suit your purpose but you really do have a problem in trying to understand that the discussion is about PERTH's public transport. One can only come to the conclusion that you are so embarrassed about Emperor Barnett's performance and record and EVEN YOU can't defend the indefensible.

Do you really want to try to defend Emperor Barnett's approach to the tier 3 rail network in rural WA Bazza?

David Hynes, who's been there a long time,or one or two Transport Ministers over 8 years of Coalition Government?

If people aren't satisfied with the service, why?

I figured it shouldn't be that hard to read Timetables and plan ahead, but you hear people on talkback Radio complaining, the Timetables don't link up.Are they right,or are they just sooks who want all it laid out for them on a Red Carpet?

Where does the buck stop,Bazza?

Are the customers in the wrong?

Part of the solution in Labor's rail plan will remove the need to have to via Perth to get to your destination. To excuse the pun one can only think that Bazza is in Egypt paddling on "de Nile".

That might ring true from than just those from the Liberal Party, but here's knew for you Liza, after your Blundering Performance last week.

Do Your Bloody Job Properly! B)

Yep considering 50% of those questioned at the protest last week were still on holiday from their full time jobs. Add in the the students on break, the retired pensioners and those pulling a sickie and youll be left with a couple of jobless hippies.
She has to toe the Barnett line or she wouldn't be in line to replace him

Grassy is that something to do with Pauline Hanson preferences. If she gives Barnett 8/10 Preferences and Labour poll under 38% Primary vote.Hanson gets around 12 to 15% vote.Heard that talked about on the radio.
Barnett doesnt deserve another 4 years and most WA Governments get no more than 8 years normally. But its LNP,H Liberal+Nationals+Hanson V Labour ,Greens.Dont thinks the Greens are as popular here as in the East Coast.

Very interesting interview with the WA polical doyen Pete Kennedy Sunday, yep ALP going last - they wont stuff up like last time with ON.

PK reckons ON are looking at out polling greens a solid 10% should deliver 3 upper house seats , lower very hard to see.
