Swan Districts are on the road and going across to Leederville.
In what is a very winnable game. They'd be refreshed after the bye and ready to go. Should have a full squad to choose from. Dean should be back from suspension? Interested to see the team line-up when it's published.

Its been a double bye for Swans actually WAG so they have not played a game for 3 weeks, it seems almost like a new season starting again. I think there are several factors which will influence this game and the ultimate result.
1. What impact not having any footy for 3 weeks will have on Swans and whether they can get straight into the game or will they be rusty?.
2. How East Perth react to last weeks drubbing by South Fremantle?. Will it dent their confidence or will they be stung into action?
3. The make up of the East Perth team in relation to the ratio of Eagles and East Perth players. Funny enough I reckon they are a better team when they have more of an East Perth content, unlike the mob from Mandurah who seem to rely almost solely on Dockers players to get results.
4. Swans have an abysmal recent record at Leederville with only 2 wins in their last 12 games there stretching back to 2013. There have been some floggings in this time although mainly by Subiaco. Will this record be in the back of the Swans players minds? We did have a victory against East Perth at Leederville last year so that is a positive.
5. The weather will be cool and showery which will be very different from the warm saturdays we have been blessed with so far this season. The team that can adapt best to these conditions will be the one that will come out on top.
It is a game that is well within Swans capability of winning but they must be switched on from the start and not allow East Perth to establish a break.

Sounding like the worst of the weather will be Friday.
With clearing showers and a maxima of about 21ยบ for Saturday.
The playing surface will be heavy and slippery too which is something we're not used to thus far. Whichever team adapts to the conditions will have the advantage.
Sadly Swans have only won two of the past five matches against these bastards.
Hopefully the lay-off will be a help and not a hindrance.

Are we seriously going into a game with Taryce Stewart as CHF? Presumably Rogers, Blight and Pane are 3 of the interchange players.

I was starting to wonder about the named team Swan 42, Blight and Dean are named on the bench but are also listed as outs. Dean was suspended for a week in the Souths game so he won't be playing.Maybe Blight is injured again. Fullgrabe and O'Sullivan have been listed as ins but are named in the reserves. Pretty confusing.
I reckon the interchange players will be Rogers, Payne,Ridley and Coniglio.

What, a former East Perth Coach with an ex-East Perth assistant and they can't find places for Freddie Clutterbuck and Steve Wityk?

And Steven Payne # 7 on the interchange bench?

Clutterbuck has been playing some good footy in the reserves I heard. He will slot into the league side later as the season progresses I'd imagine. Good to see the coach has a few options.

Yeh, that's what happened to him at East Perth. Left in the Reserves just that little bit too long.

One would expect a heavy track at Leederville Oval tomorrow. Put ROgers in the middle at the start of the game so he can throw his weight around.

Also note that it is an early start due to the "WONDERFUL?" channel 7 tv broadcast. 1.40 pm start I believe.
