And Steven Payne # 7 on the interchange bench?

Both have missed games with injuries this season!

Taryce Stewart the big inclusion here.

Are we seriously going into a game with Taryce Stewart as CHF? Presumably Rogers, Blight and Pane are 3 of the interchange players.

Very observant of you 42 albeit 2 years or so late....if you check back on our Thursday night named line ups going back some years now you would noticed that is a weekly occurrence many being named well out of their position they actually occupy on the Saturday!

Apparently 16 Eagles players are available for selection for East Perth this weekend in league and reserves.
As for Freddie, i thought it may have been a good week to bring him back against his old team, but the selectors thought otherwise He has put together a few decent games in the ressies now and the conditions would have suited him as well.

Any one thinking of placing a bet on Swans in this match, apparently they are at odds of 5/4.

Beautifully done SD -- the good thing, too, is that the side should improve as the season goes along which is ideal.

Leederville a pretty good ground in rainy conditions. One side of the ground is well covered with stands.Missed the first qtr with the early start where the win was setup.Held Ep OK in the second and done enough in the 3 rd to hang on in the final qtr.
Use of the footy by hand and foot was good again and played Leederville far better than our last effort there. The first goal of the 3 rd was a cracker. Banfield broke the tackle handballed in front. Then soccered to himself and picked up and goaled. There was a free player over the top though. Swans players got in the face of the Eagles ressie players a lot today.Pretty solid all over the ground.Tony N held Vardy well.Fwd line looks dangerous and midfield won today. Name slips me no23 ruckman was very good today.Taps and kicks and marks around the ground. Against a side with a lot of big players.

Nathan Blakely - best on the ground today.

That was an outstanding performance by the boys. Apart from the easy goals that they coughed up in the time on period of the last quarter it was a perfect game by Swans. The tackling was ferocious all day and the East Perth players were not given any space and time to get their game going.

Blakley battled hard in the ruck and also imposed himself around the ground, so many times I saw him bull dozing through packs, working the ball Swans way and clearing a path for the midfielders.Notte and Ugle led the defence with poise and dash. Stewart added his touch of class to the forward line.Ellard, Palmer and Riggio were prominent. It was a great team effort. I have to give credit to the new coach, the boys are playing a much more entertaining brand of footy this year and the team look like they are really enjoying their footy at the moment.
That was a very enjoyable win especially at Leederville where we have come away empty handed so often in the last 4 or 5 years.

William Reidy looks like a breeze would blow him over, but the little weight he has he used superbly today with some great bumps on EP mid-fielders. Impressed with his controlled aggression.
