Juicy hypothetical, but not a reality.Schoefield Will be in the AFL System,if he's not at Subi next year. But why would he leave Subi with what he's got?

He probably won't be available but I thought I'd ask the question to see what the response would be from the Swannies boys here as they do bag him a bit. To date not much of a response at all which tells me they would love him to come on board if he was available. B)

If you want to make a sensible suggestion related to the topic you are most welcome and you will get a response. Alternatively if you just come on to troll then you will get the response you deserve = zero

What is he doing now?? I wouldn't be going for Malaxos, Woewodin ect.

Coaching ammos

I am not sure Coops would be interested as he has a young family now and aside from his ammos duties is coaching the WA AFLW 18s side but would be a worthy candidate along with Valentine & Woewodin despite some negativity from some!

Whoever gets appointed as our coach I hope they come with a game plan that is all out attacking orientated ala 1981...I am so sick of the defensive football so prevalent in the modern day!

Sorry but I am actaully enjoying going to the games and watching the colts, ressies and east perth players after 2pm but thx for the offer, if was to be anywhere it would be at Basso!

Nobody likes Stav Malaxos.Already at the club, knows the players.Swans midfield has been solid all year. Some injuries hurting a bit now.He got close to a Flag coaching the Sharks.

gtr: I agree with you -- not only that EF have strugglled since they chopped him. Lots of people hatted John Todd too. Barassi and Keith Greig would not speak to each other at NM, so I have read, but they still won flags. Malaxos should be strongly considerred. You never know, gtr, the club may get a better candidate, which solves the problem.

There will be better candidates than Stav out there Ark + Grassy. But it highly unlickley that any Wafl clubs. Apart from Peel+EP will have full time coaches, next year.Remember losing the Colts competition is a huge revenue hit for the Wafl Clubs. As they won't get the money from the players drafted to the AFL.

Very good opportunity here for swans. I think they would be searching outside of the club to bring in a fresh approach. Harding has left them in a strong position with the development of many younger players with 20-50 games under their belt.

Cooper has strong credentials but is there issues with his occupation as a punter
Valentine spent time at the club and is well regarded
Michael Broadbridge could be a smokey if he is interested. Experience with his time at the Tigers and an ex player
Adrian Hickmott also a thought but probably prefers his place at west coast
Luke Dwyer was close for east freo job but now working with EP under his role at west coast

Could there be some big names over east that would be interested ...

Gary Ayres at Port Melbourne
Martin Mattner at Sturt
Chad Cornes at Port
Gary hocking at South Adelaide

With a full advertisement who knows who could apply

Exciting times for SDFC and a big decision for the powers to be
