BH you've missed Ellard and Ross Lyon.

Please explain why Xavier Ellis and Ryan Crowley appear on the list under those circumstances?

Maybe, and only slighly tongue in cheek, perhaps we could also add the coaching partnership of Beasley Hutton and Dirty Weekender!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha...can't vouch for BH but I'm interested in a support role

I base my thoughts on Ellard coaching, with a possibility of player coaching if there is no full time coach offer next year, with the knowledge that he is a bloke that can drive standards and do know that during his time at Carlton had more than a passing interest in game day decision making from the sidelines.I hear his old boy was a fair coach too so to say its in the genes is not a misleading statement. David will make a great coach one day if that's where his interests lie. Not as stupid or far fetched an idea as it may appear once you know the bloke a little. Worth a look is all I'm saying and a SD man at heart which for me should be a pre-requisite for our next coach

So far names bandied about have been-

T.Cooper
S.Woewodin
A.Pruyn
A.Pickering
G.Valentine
A.Hickmott
R.Crowley
X.Ellis
S.Malaxos
S.Armstrong
B.Dodd
L.Dwyer
D.Cox
K.Bradley
P.Hasleby
J.Schofield

Could old Basso boy Andrew Embley be interested?
Are there any other smokies keen on making a mark at a club desperately looking for success?

Bit of an EF feel there, BH. Who would make your shortlist?

I would accept Dawson back in a heartbeat if he was prepared to commit 100%

I favour someone with an SD back ground - Embley would be terrific! Get him away from handbag city and back where he belongs

A recent ex player told me if the club went down the path of Malaxos or Armstrong then the club is in deep shit

Have heard some chatter....

Part time role worth 50-60k

Leading candidates

Luke Dwyer
Geoff Valentine
Trent Cooper

This talk of players like Crowley, Ellard and Ellis I believe is very left field and not a wise choice. A well credentialed coach from outside the club will have the mandate to bring in their own team and choice of Reserves coach. Can be an exciting breathe of fresh air and blood into the club

Pruyn is set to head to coach amateurs - watch this space
