Ps no matter what the weather report says bring an effen jacket to the game...historically known for freezing one's luggage so if you intend hanging out to watch the late colts match like I do come prepared...it will get arctic on ya

It is as cold as a mother-in-law's shoulder up in that stand mate....and cheers for the heads up about the Colts start time you have just saved me 3 hours of watching the Leederville Oval grass growing! :silly:

The Eagles at EP are mainly list cloggers. Venables looks classy but will he better value than Sam Powell Pepper, I doubt it. Happy to give thoughts on any of the players you may not of seen much. My prediction is three wins for Swans. Should be a nice day for it anyway.

Jetta has been named in the East Perth team today. Apparently his glute injury wasn't as bad as first thought. So then if he is fit, why isn't he in the Eagles squad? Or was he dropped in the first place? I would be confused if I was Lewis.

Best win of the 3 so far without any doubt. When it came down to the crunch in the last quarter, Swans wanted it so much more than they did and the screamer by Jamie Bennell, followed by a 50 metre goal sparked the team into an irresistible force in the last 10 minutes. You know, the same Jamie Bennell who was dropped to the East Perth reserves last year, different player now funny enough.

I was so pleased with the efforts of the guys who hung tough when East Perth threatened to run away with the game in both the 2nd and 3rd quarters. They had no right to be still in the game when you looked at the AFL talent that East Perth has at their disposal including an ex Swans player Lewis Jetta who looked pretty lost for much of the afternoon to be honest. The problem was that East Perth seemed to lack the leadership and steady heads that previous Royals based guys like Johnson and Wulff used to provide.

When the game was on the line in the last quarter, it was obvious that 22 Swans were desperately playing for the jumper whereas many of the higher rated Eagles reserves went missing. I actually felt sorry for some of the deluded people sitting over the race who were dressed in blue and black who are still obviously dreaming of the glories of when they actually had a club.

While I am talking about alignments, wonder who was responsible for the “---- the Alignment” written on a blackboard in the outer? I was surprised that it stayed up for the whole game or maybe some East Perth supporters put it up?

Apart from Bennell’s mark, this will undoubtedly go down as the break out game for Taryce Stewart, who has been showing us some flashes of his talent up to now but he shone today in the forward line. He has poise, is physically strong for his age, makes good decisions and is an excellent mark for his height. He also knows where the goals are as we saw today.

Every Swans player can hold his head high for that effort. To hang in there on a hot day and then have enough energy and desperation to grab the game was just outstanding.

Also well done to the reserves for their fightback and the Colts later for making it a rare hat trick at Leederville.

This is also the first time in 12 years Swans have started their season with 3 straight wins.

What a fantastic day/night at Leederville that just was.
Come from behind wins in the last qtr in each of the League, Reserves & Colts and the 16s winning easily to bring up a magical quartet of wins.
On another note how on earth can the Eagles get away with leaving Jetta out injured with a quad but still allow him to play him for EP?
It is bastardry at its worst and I expect to hear first thing on Monday morning of a $10k+ fine for this mob who just continue to make an absolute mockery of the WAFL along with their partners in crime from Cockburn!
I know you were at the game Mr Knapton so we expect to see you make a strong stand to this complete and utter bullshit from WC/EP!

Also I thought Brayden Noble showed a lot today for a guy who has only played only a few league games. He is a good mark and has plenty of pace and has potential to be the fast leading forward type. Just needs to work on his kicking a bit.
Cary kicked another 60 metre goal today so no problem with this aspect of Ricky's game.

Could someone let me know if we won because I didn't have a telescope that was needed to see the Leedy scoreboard.
