Big difference between Jetta and Pearce is that Jetta should be playing afl with his skill but lacks right attitude whereas Pearce is a scrapper who has been overtaken by younger players. All players both Eagles or dockers want to play afl not wafl.

Mike we started slowly as has been the case all year and Peel had 3 on the board and the ball controlled in their forward half before we even went inside forward 50 with any sort of purpose. I reckon we started to gain some control late in the 1st qtr well led by Rogers who played his best game for the year Faulkner in the middle and Cary who was clunking some strong grabs and we kicked 3 late goals to go in with a qtr time lead despite kicking into a reasonable breeze that died off late in the game.
The 2nd qtr was our best football for the year by a country mile were we started dominating in the middle led by Yukich, Faulkner, Dean & Riggs with our wingmen Burnham & Wilson also joining into the party with a 20 minute period were we scored 8.2 to zip. It was like the Swans of old with us using the ball well all around the park Tony & Simmo were impassable whenever Peel rarely did go forward and Banfield & Rudy also started looking dangerous as small forwards.
The 2nd half was actually a bit disappointing as Peel lifted their work rate whilst we seemed content just to grind out a 6 or 7 goal win rather than really putting the foot down and we allowed Peel to kick the last 4 goals of the game in junk time but after a season from hell like this year just getting a win on the board was enough to make the day content whilst also making mention of young Nuich making a good comeback in the Reserves big win and the Colts somehow throwing away a win to allow Peel to gain a draw with 2 goals in the last 2 minutes!

Cheers for that BH, hopefully they can switch on what they did in that 2nd quarter on a more regular basis and they might chalk up a few more wins in the 2nd half of the season.

Hopefully Clancee will play out his career at Swans if he is not wanted by the Dockers or another AFL team.

No report from me sorry mikeh...too busy moving house back in to the hallowed surrounds of the bassendean avenue area. Nice feeling being back in familiar country. Even met the new neighbours already which is a stark comparison to the duck and cover elitist brigade in city beach whom would never say hello back to us vagrants.
FYI All games I have attended this year we have copped a shellacking so probably my duty to avoid attending for now whilst we are on a 'roll'   wouldn't want to jinx things for the rest of y'all

Mike Clancee is a real hard working player.Would of great for Swans in the 2nd half ysrda or anyother time.He could teach the young players the amount of work that required to play at this level.
Like you say if not at Freo nxt year there's allways a chance of another Afl club or Subi having a go.

Clancee may go back to his real roots and play for Noranda FC who knows?.....always pops down to chat with the Noranda footy fans when around the neighbourhood....seems like a nice chap from all reports....he has done the Noranda footy club proud...certainly carried my nephews footy team back in the day that's for sure....hopefully Clancee can be that 100 game AFLer who brings success back to the SDFC for you BH....out of interest BH, those 12 missing from that SD loss to Peel last time, how do they compare in ability to the 12 missing from Peel on Sat?

oh yeah and well done to young Jake too.....surprised though BH you didn't give that Perth poster a lecture in compassion for that "Jake the peg" gag, a few pages back ;)...do you want me to give DW the heads up for ya mate? :P

DW you might like to know that Burnham had a very good game as well as Faulkner.

C22 just how many AFL aligned players played for East Perth against Swans earlier this year? Also, with respect to Lewis Jetta do you think that his attitude might be better going back to play for Swans rather than playing for East Perth?

Maybe the eagles made a mistake. He had a great year when Sydney won the premiership. I don't see a lot of Sydney Swans so it's hard to comment but I think his form had dropped before he was traded. I think the Eagles and even me thought that the wide open spaces of Subi would suit him.I hope he snaps out of it as I would rather have him playing good footy at the Afl level then moping around at east perth. In saying that I am expecting Jack Redden to be available for the South Freo game so I don't know what the eagles are doing but a lot of players are going backwards including Bennell and Colledge.

Could it , perhaps is it possible, that the host club IS A FAILURE for not only the WAFL competition as well as for the devils incarnate.
