apparently every week has been good a week to play SD BH, especially with that well documented injury list of SD mate...though compared to Peel losing at least 10 - 12 AFL quality players this weekend plus Clancee during the game... I can see why Chaddy has mentioned playing Peel this week was a good time for SD...how many AFL quality players have been on SD injury list this year mate out of interest?....I use the term AFL quality because that is the basis of most fans anger with the Peel and EP alignment....well yours, Swandog's and 42's disgust at least. ;)

Freezin how many AFL players did Swans have in the game against Peel yesterday? In case you don't know the answer was ZERO.

With respect to Clancee interesting to see that he must have chatted with Swans' supporters for well over half an hour prior to the match yesterday. Also good to see Shane Beros and Craig Callaghan at the match supporting Swans.

Well done boys. You can only beat what the opposition put out on the park and that's what Swans did yesterday. Most Swans supporters were well aware of the fact prior to the game, that they would be playing the 'Peel' without much of the "mantle" so of course you have to look at the result in that perspective.

A bit of an indictment on the non Dockers part of the Peel outfit though when you think that they were towelled up by 6 goals on their home ground by the bottom team who haven't even looked like winning a game for the last 2 months. It shows how dependant this club is on the alignment and that my view is that unlike East Perth they probably couldn't survive without it now.

As good as a win as it was all the other teams would have loved to be playing them this week and would have beaten them. They got them at the right time at their weakest.

Our own injury/illness list as has been pointed out many times this year is quite extensive but I havent noticed anyone has been posting they have been lucky to get Swans at the right time  ..out of interest who other than Walsh from PEEL is injured atm?

As usual you missed the point BH.5 weeks ago we played Peel with 12 afl listed players and lost.Importantly Barlow and Mzungu played and killed us.Had we played Peel yesterday with 3 Afl listed battlers plus 13 peel players who have not played 10 league games yet and a few strategic injuries it would have been a different story. As for Swans obviously only twice this year they have not had injuries and won.

For various reasons I wasn't able to get to Mandurah yesterday unfortunately. I was wondering if BH, SD Swan42 or DW or any other Swans fan who was there could publish a brief match summary and who played well etc . I would really appreciate this and it would sure be preferable to opposition supporters posting meaningless statements about stuff we already know.

You are the one who as usual has missed the point Chaddy...We also played FART earlier in the year when they had 16 Freo blokes running around whislt we were missing around a dozen in that game and they beat us easily at our home but no one made comment about playing Swans at their weakest etc but suddenly the tables are turned although we still have a number of players missing and you try and make a big deal of it (although as pointed out earlier only 1 PEEL player is out Walsh). Bad luck I say swings and roundabouts as my ol mate freeze always says you cant have it all laid out on a platter for you as a aligned club ol chap! :)

Mike we started slowly as has been the case all year and Peel had 3 on the board and the ball controlled in their forward half before we even went inside forward 50 with any sort of purpose. I reckon we started to gain some control late in the 1st qtr well led by Rogers who played his best game for the year Faulkner in the middle and Cary who was clunking some strong grabs and we kicked 3 late goals to go in with a qtr time lead despite kicking into a reasonable breeze that died off late in the game.
The 2nd qtr was our best football for the year by a country mile were we started dominating in the middle led by Yukich, Faulkner, Dean & Riggs with our wingmen Burnham & Wilson also joining into the party with a 20 minute period were we scored 8.2 to zip. It was like the Swans of old with us using the ball well all around the park Tony & Simmo were impassable whenever Peel rarely did go forward and Banfield & Rudy also started looking dangerous as small forwards.
The 2nd half was actually a bit disappointing as Peel lifted their work rate whilst we seemed content just to grind out a 6 or 7 goal win rather than really putting the foot down and we allowed Peel to kick the last 4 goals of the game in junk time but after a season from hell like this year just getting a win on the board was enough to make the day content whilst also making mention of young Nuich making a good comeback in the Reserves big win and the Colts somehow throwing away a win to allow Peel to gain a draw with 2 goals in the last 2 minutes!

Swan ...Percy Johnson and Brian Dawson spoke at lenght about Clancee Pearce during the half time break Peel v Swans.91.3 FM.They both thought Clancee wasnt going to be a part of the Dockers next year. And like Jetta at East Perth didnt want to play for Peel.
