They could have easily had folded after quarter time, though I think Harding would have had to been restrained.

Really should not have taken an all out fire & brimstone dress-down by the coach to get the boys to wake up and play but happy to really see the effort.

It was nice to see the effort, the passion the boys played with after the first quarter.

Dean was a joy to watch I thought and he uses the ball so very well.
While I have been hard/down on Ricky at times I thought he stood tall today too.

Well done to the boys and well earned win.

Now we need to keep that effort and string a few wins together.

Yep those "F bombs" were flying thick and fast at quarter time for sure :P Did the trick though.

Hopefully the confidence a come from behind win garners will hold us in good stead going forward as that has been noticeably lacking since the first bounce in round 1 and all the spin off effects from that good ball use, correct decision making etc.
Still a long way to go as we made a lot of mistakes again today but eliminating some of those get some players back from injury and we are not as far off the pace as some on here would believe after what has been the worst start to the season imaginable.
Interestingly those who have been bagging the coach, club, players etc were not sighted at the game today pity as they missed first gamers Watson & Hackett who were both good as was Alby & Greaser who also came in to the side ...so much for no depth!

Was a weird feeling having an away game at Basso but hey that was the only way the Tigers were going to break even or make any money on a `home` game, and we made some too so win win

It was a different team this afternoon BH, once they started moving the ball around and today there were some targets in the forward line. I think the 3rd quarter was the real catalyst as they were getting their hands on the ball and depriving Claremont of scoring chances, you could just sense the belief was growing. Just need to savour this win though because there is a reality train heading down the Midland line next Sunday and we will have to improve another 50% just to compete with Subiaco. Lets see if they can carry that confidence into next week.

We need to have a look back at the last time we played them and beat them, there are plenty of things we could do similar to give us a sniff..no Ryan Davis hurts of course!

Very true Mike I know hindsight is a wonderful thing at times but if Harding could go back to Round 1 again I bet he would like to have a similar positional set up to what we had in the 2nd half yesterday. It was good to see even when Claremont kicked the first goal of the last qtr we didn't drop our heads and we kept coming obviously we got a sniff of victory and as can happen when you have had a tough run of losses you put your foot on the oppositions throat and don't let it up til that final siren sounds.
On another note it is about time the umpiring department made a stand about these ridiculous "around the neck free kicks". Over the last few years they have become an utter blight on the game and the same old ones who keep shrugging their bodies and lifting the tacklers arm up whilst throwing their heads back at the same time should be named and shamed- Hams, Schloithe, ROB, BOB, Richardson, Bradshaw, Neates, Murphy. If the umpires stopped paying these b grade Bollywood actors these free kicks that are not there like the old ducking the head rule maybe these actors would stop trying on that soft crap!

well said BH - it was pathetic yesterday and is not how football should be played, at least the umps in the last 10 minutes put away the whistle and stopped paying 50/50 kicks and made blokes earn a free instead of diving around..I go to the footy to see skill, hard running and hard footy, not blokes diving and ducking heads and that goes for either side.

well done to Harding, only took 3 weeks and 1 qtr to realise Cary is more value in the goal square than leading up and getting kicks on the wing, he was the difference in the end.

Alby Dean has finally worked out he needs to run more, he did that and played a ripper and well done to Yukich, his 3 league games are miles better than he ever played in reserves, works very hard and physical.

totally agree with ya BH....also whilst the umps are there lets get on top of those sling tackles as well, they are a blight on the game TBH....I remember young Read from EF got a nasty one from an opposition player last year.....nasty thug that player was too.....number 69 from memory....his name escapes me tho....you have a good memory for these things BH, can you help us out with a name mate?

Good to see the New Zealand troll has joined us again with his usual input of superfluous information that has nothing to do with the topic.
