Lets get discussion of this game going early. It could be the last game we get to comment on before this website expires. We live in hope that some benefactor may step in and save the day.

Firstly it will be very strange to be at Bassendean as an away supporter. Do we sit in the Bill Walker stand and leave the members area and Mcdonald Stand to the Tigers fans? Should we bring our own horses and erect ferris wheels to simulate the conditions at the Showgrounds? Do the Claremont supporters have to drink VB and chant F#$%% you to the umpires?. Do Claremont get put first on the scoreboard??

All these questions will be answered on Sunday along with the poser of how Swans can score more than 6 goals in a match. We need to change the mix to give the mids something to kick to in the forward half which has been as barren as the Simpson desert in the last few weeks. Maybe Notte up there who can take a good grab or at least bring Rogers and Jukes into play by creating a contest and giving the defence some headaches. Should we back in young Dylan Smith who kicked 3 in the ressies? Cary may slot in the backline for a few weeks where he will get plenty of opportunity to get his confidence back. Perhaps give Jackson Slater a run to give us a bit more leg speed and run through the midfield. Our defence did very well last week but you can't win games just defending as a certain AFL coach has discovered, so maybe using Jettas run and Tallens skills in a more creative role may be worth the risk.

I think that the Tiggers will probably have too many guns for us in the end but I think if we can take a more attacking mindset into the game, we are capable of giving them a run for their money.

In the end it could be Claremonts home ground advantage that may prove the difference in the end ;)

Mikeh rest assured I will still be in the Macca Stand for the game on Sunday. Since we increased our total number of goals by a factor of 3 between rounds 2 and 3 if we continue the same improvement we are heading for an 18 goal game on Sunday.

It will be an interesting team selection for Greg Harding and the others for this game. Whilst our defence has been the mainstay over the past few years I will be interested to see if we adopt the same attitude of passing the ball back and forth in deep defence as though the player wanted it to be someone else's problem in trying to get the ball out of there. With respect to our forward line one of the problems last week was Cary was forced to go so far up the ground that when he got the ball on the wing there were no talls to kick to and the likes of Jukes et al were forced to compete against much taller opponents.

Also, we need to address the problems of the efficiency of our kicking. A classic example was just in front of the Macca Stand when Fulkner had the ball and wasn't able to kick it accurately to Blight about 15 metres away that resulted in a goal from that mis-directed kick.

Adam Faulkner is a great ball getter but does let himself down with his kicking sometimes. I think we need more from guys like Blight, Riggio, Rogers, Jukes and even Notte to some extent ( even though Tony was OK last week) These senior guys need to lead the way for the younger ones and provide more support for the blokes like Jetta, Elari and Faulkner who are playing well.

I have been really impressed with the way young Yukich has thrown himself in there in his first two games. He would have learnt a lot from playing against Griffin and Hannath and he will have another challenge on Sunday coming up against the Claremont big men in Andrews and Cameron.

It's time to bite the bullet this week! If we go in with the same set up then we will get the same result. Time for Watson to come in. It will release Notte who can go up foward. I'd also like to see Dean,Slater and Hodge given an opportunity. On the chopping block has to be Whitsed who is still finding his way but also Smirk and Wityk who just aren't up to it. Blight needs to lift also, was poor last week.

Without seeing the line up as yet Simmo (if fit), Rudy, Warwick, Grescos, Alby, JD, Slater & maybe Dylan Smith should be ins from last weeks side. Jetts should be tried midfield, Tony & Kirky also moved up the ground especially if Simmo, Grescos & Warwick come in as they can play back. Banfield was another who was a late withdrawal last week not sure why?

Great to see Simmo back, gives us a lot more flexibility in defence. Notte up forward is an obvious move. Will Watson get a game which would also free up Ames for a more creative role? Its clear that we need to structure up differently, otherwise we will get the same result as we have had for the last 3 weeks. This team looks like a good start. Lets see how they line up on Sunday.

I am a big advocate of Warwick doing the kick ins from behinds as he is the best kick in the club by a mile and it is an area we have really struggled in this season. But I guess he has to be picked in the side first? :S

I thought he was a bit stiff to be dropped from the team. He wasn't great against South Freo but he had plenty of mates

We have struggled to transition the ball up the ground this year Mike, Warwick is one bloke who can kick it pin point over lines.
