*Abandon ship (aka to EP fans) leaves because is not good enough and or is injured all the time!

Just got a story on my facebook feed where Harding said that they need to get more out of the small forwards this year to be a threat. We only averaged 81 points last year and with the loss of Geappean and Davis, this puts more responsibility on the likes of Rogers Banfield and Jukes as well as Murray Newman. Shame about Shannon Taylor injuring himself at training and it appears he is out for the season, probably old news but I am in New Zealand and I don't get too many SDFC updates here

Just about to leave Blenheim on the way back to Christchurch. Have loved all of it but especially the West coast with the Fiordland and glaciers. Also liked Oamaru for its charming historical part which is still functional. Have had a fantastic time.

Glad to hear you have enjoyed the sights, yeah Oamaru with its Victorian section and steam punk displays is a good visit, I live an hour north mate in a similar size place called Timaru....as for the West Coast is lovely from all reports....though every time I have been there winter summer spring etc it has pissed down.....thus in our house its called the Wet Coast.......Nelson area is where I have liked the best....anyway safe travels and enjoy what ever NZ time you have left.....I reckon you should get yourself to a Crusaders game......totally one eyed and OTT in passion......but I guess as a SD fan you would see similar scenes down at Steel Blue ...

Not talking colours here grassy......intellect and mind set mate.......one eyed, passionate and the whole universe gravitates around their mere existence........just with greater success......in terms of success the Crusaders are on par with Subi's GF exploits over the last decade.....thus can understand their fans arrogance and bias.....still not sure of which angle the SD fans are coming from though......

Some blokes playing today who shouldn't get a game for a while if ever again! Not up to it or not ready. Smirk and Fletcher are 2 and don't think Nuich will cut it either. Burnham should've been playing!

Fletcher got busted ribs in the 2nd qtr and only his 2nd game and Smirk did a good job on Hampson to keep him to 1 goal.
Midfield and half forward line was pathetic.
Sharks played very well.
Bad luck to big Blakley, when your ruck does his knee at the 1st bounce of the season it is not a good sign, all downhill after that
