Well that is a joke if he got dropped, I thought he was injured but he did play for Kelmscott.
He had been playing well and was good against East Freo, another bloke who had pace and skill but not what Harding is after as yesterday showed when our game seemed to be kick it to South and hope they give it back, lack of skill hurts us every week

This is an amazing revelation! Things clearly aren't ok at the moment! How Donovan doesn't get a game ahead of Coniglio is amazing?! Maybe the dollar on offer elswhere is too greater incentive?
I really rate Greg Harding but he is way off the mark not playing guys like Donovan,Rudy,Nelson,Wilson all of whom have skill and or pace and are in form, then carrying Coniglio,Banfield,Dean who while talented, simply aren't playing well enough.

And Wilson also, he is the best field kick in the club yet we get blokes like Coniglio and Burnham running around

I don't understand the treatment of Coniglio and Burnham compared to Faulkner by you and MadDog.

Whilst you can argue the merits of the league selections and obviously there are a number of different views as to who should or shouldn't be selected it is disappoionting when a player decides to do what apparently Dylan Nelson has done this week end. He is not the first and certainly won't be the last. It makes our ressies gallant win yesterday he even more meritorious and he appears to have missed an opportunity to earn a promotion to the league team next week and on the lead-up to the finals.

Hopefully, the coaches and player will be able to reconcile their differences and he returns to play next week.

I think Burnham has been really good for us! Not the quickest but is one that uses the ball well and has done some great jobs. The job on Payne against EP was really good! Solid against EF and then career high stats against Perth.
Faulkner no doubt has issues with disposal at times but he'd does get it 25-30 times so the odd fuck up is expected. Coniglio gets it 10-15 times and makes as many if not more mistakes. He also doesn't work as hard when we don't have the ball!
Your not suggesting Coniglio should be in the team ahead of Faulkner?

MD no I wasn't making a direct comparison between the two. I was merely highlighting the different treatment between the two. I will also make the observation that Faulkner has about 50 more WAFL games than Coniglio. Also, I am not questioning Faulkner's work rate in and under.

Apart from Subiaco who are so far ahead of the rest of the pack, notwithstanding yesterday's result, and the inequity of the two host club aligned teams, most of the other clubs are reasonably close on the ladder. We have gone from 7th to 3rd to 6th in the last three weeks and it is possible that it will continue for a few weeks to come.

I personally would select Riddoch next week in the league. I would also give a lot of thought of playing Nelson Ansey.

Team selections giving players opportunities whose form probably doesn't warrant it may well indicate who is on the AFL draft radar at the moment....business decisions????

DW which players do you think have been selected and not selected based on that criterion?

if you were picking blokes who could get drafted then Wilson, Ansey, Nelson, Riddoch would play every week - they are by far the most talented ones we have.
the coach has a different opinion though.

Surely Coniglio would be getting looked at...still got a long way to go but young and has an elder brother in the system which usually helps one get a look in. Needs to stop chip kicking around corners is my only analysis of him in the little ive seen and focus on hitting his targets (We dont have room for another Faulkner in the side) Alby must have some admirers as well, leg speed is an issue but he can play. Not sure if he is in our best 22 at this moment in time but he is close and i'd be playing him. I've heard first hand Brisbane are looking at Rudy so can only assume he is not in the team because of the calf niggle that has troubled him this season. Daniels surely must go close this year and is in our best 22 so no argument there. Other than that I'm a little afraid to comment because I haven't seen enough footy this year. I'm not even saying I disagree with playing these young blokes if they are on the AFL radar. Regardless of that we need to see if they are up to it at some stage. I'm not going to question Harding. I like the fact that we are giving the kids a go. My only gripe at the moment is the same one Mad Dog keeps raising. Too many similar type players with lack of leg speed but I guess you can only work with the players you've got in the squad.
