As BH said get Wilson and Nelson back in, 2 of the most skilled blokes in the club and both have a massive future.
Blight is hopefully back from injury as we need some size in the middle, if Riggs has a down day then we have no size and strength in there and have to move Davo in there from the forward line

MO would it be fair to say that from your comment with respect to Faulkner above that "this year" should be taken out?

I think he means that Faulkner has been a poor kicker for his entire career, not just this year. I tend to agree. Pity because he is good at getting the ball and has plenty of courage.

Certainly is inconsistent with his kicking and needs to be surrounded with blokes who he can give it to by hand who can then run and carry. His strength is in and under so we need the right balance in there, not more little blokes that can't kick

The team still looks a bit top heavy to me although I notice that Houghton has been named in the reserves as well so he may drop out. Cary would have to count himself lucky to retain his spot after his performance against Subiaco. Still no sign of Blight or Banfield in either team.

Missed all footy today being at work - reading the WAFL site I see Todd Banfield did suit up and even managed 2 goals in the ressies

Looked like a reasonably close affair up at Basso but the Swans prevailed in the end , Faulkner had a blinder lads looking at it

Happy to get the 4 points but that was a terrible performance today. Good to see Banfield back in the black & white in the earlier game.

We were very lucky to get over the line, Perth wasted their opportunities in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. I was thinking about that capitulation at Joondalup during the last quarter and wondering whether it was going to happen again. Luckily not in the end. Faulkner, Riggio and Elari worked their guts out, too many others went missing for long periods. Credit to Perth, they have improved greatly since the first game and the charge is being led by their youngsters. Jaryd Bell was particularly impressive. Lets keep hoping for a 4 quarter effort, maybe next week.

Yeah Earl has Perth on the right path Mike giving plenty of kids a go and has found a few who will be long term players at Lathlain Park. Good to see we played another debutant for the year yesterday in young Nelson Ansey at full back in place of Amesy which by my reckoning was our 12th first gamer this season already with a few more very close to pulling on our great jumper in the weeks to come.

I suspect there will be some of our Under 18s who will make their debut after they finish their hiatus from the WAFL competition.
