So lets get some thoughts going on this game. I will probably go with more of a sense of hope than expectation as Swans look a bit outgunned on paper by Dockers players and with one less recovery day we may be pushing it uphill on Saturday.

Lets hope Aaron Elari returns, he is in the top 5 most important players at Swans IMO. Not bad for a guy that Perth didn't want. We will have a reunion with Conor Blakley, like Clancee last year that will stick in the craw a bit. Freo should send a few emergencies over to Melbourne ( Crozier and Hannath perhaps) so that's a few less Dockers to contend with.

Hopefully we get heaps of Swans fans there so the Peel boys know that they are in enemy territory.

Perhaps C Blakely will forget which change room he should go to. Obviously 90%+ of the crowd will be supporting the mighty black and whites.

For those who got stuck into Ballantyne who thought he should be dropped haven't got their wish and is off to terrorise Melbourne fortunately. Another certainty will be that we will outscore the Peel locally produced players.

So far I think I only myself and Freezin so far in Oos's footy tipping who has picked Swans to win.

Ouch! Expected Blight to be missing but Faulkner is out as well and Elari is not named either, so this leaves our midfield very short for a battle against the Dockers reserves. We will really struggle in the clearances without all these guys. On the positive side, great to see 3 more colts named (Ansey, Dean and Whitsted) although not all of them will make the final cut IMO. Also Nathan Blakely plays in the reserves on Saturday. I wonder how far Banfield is away, we could certainly do with him at the moment. Can anyone convince me that Swans have a chance here? Will be a great win if they can get over the line against a team that is playing with a lot of confidence at the moment.

They only beat Perth by five points -- you have a chance, but the Dockers are obviously the favourites.

l would be a lot more confident if we were close to full strength in the midfield. We are also without Cary of course. One thing we do have is the home ground advantage.

Yes, I agree with you on the mid field and Cary is a pretty good young forward; but, hopefully the club will lift all over the ground with a wee bit of help from the crowd.

Great wins in all three grades. Outstanding efforts started by the colts' team which had something in the order of 12 + players not available. Continued by the reserves and the coup de grace was delivered by a committed league team.
