I think some of you opposition WAFL supporters are just plain jealous that your clubs cant produce the atmosphere or variety that we do at Bassendean in a traditional idylic setting at the historic ground. No other club matches it, some others resemble morgues at times seriously!
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Yes I did make a edit on this topic, I could see it was a joke and I bet some other users on here could to, But please bear in mind some will not.

A simple joke can be interrupted into a allegation and led to defamation hearing in court.

I will continue to edit and to warn regardless of any user and about any club, that i can see to be detrimental to other parties.

On say that the bylaws are

Selling food is a very popular and profitable way of raising funds, whether it is a cake sale, a sausage sizzle, an occasional food stall or a large food and wine festival. However, preparing and selling food requires very careful handling and preparation for reasons of hygiene and safety.

The following laws regulate fundraising activities, involving the preparation and supply of food in Western Australia:

the Health Act 1911;
the Health (Food Hygiene) Regulations 1993; and
the Food Standards Code.

Associations that are planning to organise temporary food stalls need to obtain a permit from their local council. Councils will also probably be able to provide the association with general guidelines on preparing and selling food.

SDFC are more than going by the Regulations of 1993; and
the Food Standards Code. hence the building of a new food stall

A big Thanks go's to our partners Outcare and their Liveworks for the commitment on this project.

George, is it just a sausage sizzle facility run by the club or will the barbecue facilities be able for use at a fee by junior clubs on Sundays etc or even available for use by the public outside of match days??? For example would be a nice place to have an afternoon picnic overlooking the holy turf that is our home ground whilst watching training etc. or even out of season. Any excuse to get people to the ground is a good one and may lead to further support of the club.

I agree with that. There is a unique feel at Bassendean, even today. Swans do it very well and the outer Bar has become a social meeting spot. It seems to gather more people every year and there doesn't seem to be any trouble there, even with mixed/opposition supporters.

Might be a hot day tomorrow but Im planning on going there for a look. Plenty of shelter shade down there if needed. Could be a decent game for a footy enthusiast.

One guy who has come out of the blue is Jake Nuich. He has been given the responsibility of leading the ruck in the absence of Nathan Blakley and he has exceeded expectations as far as I can see. He has good skills and is a mobile big man. I believe Swans recruited him from amateurs? Was it Swan Athletic? We have found another good one there without doubt.

Times are exciting at Swans at the moment with all the young guys pushing for an opportunity. In my opinion Swans have the best coach in the WAFL in Greg Harding given the financial constraints that he has been under in terms of recruiting and his ability to spot potential in young players.

Mike young Nuich has been at the club for 3 years but has unfortunately been injury prone playing mainly key back, he would have played League last year but succumbed to a season ending injury half way thru the year.
