Make no mistakes Swans fans, this is a game we just have to win if we hope to challenge for the finals. If we cannot beat Subiaco, (who by the admission of many of their fans are building for the future by introducing young promising players),on our home ground,we cannot really expect to be beating the Claremonts, Perths etc to give us enough wins to qualify.

Swans have Andrew Embley again which is a bonus, Latch and Faulkner deserves their chances, good to see Harding rewarding good form in the ressies. They have named Simpson at full back in Tallens absence, not sure if that will happen, maybe they could have brought in Blight as an extra backman although he has been out injured for a while. Our prime midfielders such as Riggio, Roach and Twomey need to lift from last week. For Subi, Rumbles suspension will be a blow and should give Geappan a chance to get away,he was taken apart by Wilson last week but rarely plays 2 bad games in a row. Wes v Mcdougall will be interesting. Rogers ( ex Perth player) appears on the half back line but is not named as one of the ins?

Really looking at the two teams on paper Swans should win by 10 goals but given our form at home this year I doubt this will happen and if the Lions young guys get a bit of confidence and are in the game late there just may be an upset

I think it would be reasonable to give Roach a week or two to find his best form. I suspect we will come out in a very intense and focus fashion to get the job done in an emphatic way. I suspect that some of our state reps may have felt the pinch from the State game.

Certainly we have had some good performers in the twos this season.

Subi will have their tails after last weeks effort fellas so expect another good showing from them! I would consider our midfield in the top 3 or 4 this year for clearances and Subi smashed us to 3 quarter time so hope your midfield has had their weeties. Second game back for Mcdougall and he looked like he will have another impact in the hitouts!

3 good games, 3 bad games and 1 shocker from Swans, we have beaten 2 teams in the top 4 yet couldnt beat Peel or East Perth so anything is possible from Swans..

Well there you have it ladies and gentlemen, season over. Fair to say this is a ground hog day that has been coming for a number of weeks. Rarely has a team had so many possessions for so little impact. 398 to 317 FFS and we lost the game!

I have never seen so many missed kicks marks and handballs in a game of footy. Sure Subiaco were doing it too, but at least they have the excuse that many of their players are young. What they did was grab the game by the scruff of the neck when they were given the opportunity and good on them for that. Their coach would be rapt with the way their defence played led by Parker

The Swans team has no structure, no leadership and no system. There has got to come a time when the coach becomes accountable for this shambles especially when he drops the Simpson Medallist because of one bad game. I was absolutely flabbergasted at this decision as today there were more passengers on the team than a rush hour train. Sure many of the midfielders got impressive numbers but how many of them went to an opposition player or on the half volley to a team mate. It was so frustrating to watch this garbage and all I can see for our future this year is some more rather nastier defeats by better teams than Subiaco.

Harding gave them an absolute rocket at three quarter time warning that their whole season depended on the next 30 minutes. Result - little response which indicates to me that the players have stopped listening to him. Swans supporters deserve better than the rubbish that they served up today. Perhaps its time to start exposing some young colts guys to league footy

I wish a Swan Districts player, coaching staff and committee member read this.

Today was the worst swans game I have ever watched. I was born black and white and have supported the club for over 40 years.

The team lacked skill, leadership, direction, pride, heart and football smarts.

This piss weak performance even made members hostile with each other and normally we are very united.

I am not a big believer in blaming the coach but the players are not responding to Harding's coaching methods. When you have Twomey, a state Simpson Medal winner two weeks ago, gets dropped for playing to the coach's instructions, then there are problems.

Some players are either not listening, selfish or not up to league football.

I love the black and white and I will still go to games and support the club, but there must a major review on how we do thing both on and off the football ground

Agreed with the above sentiments today i found myself bagging the coach and players, something i dont normally do, i was dumbfounded at Qt when i heard Harding say we were outstanding!! Was he watching the same game, the rocket he gave at 3 Qt should have come then. I did hear from a trainer of problems off field etc which is disapponting, with June 30th coming i would show the door to a few players
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Here go AGAIN, the Swans boys wanting to eat their own. It's great fun when the team is winning....isn't it boys? The trick is to still be there when they're not.

Who's suggesting we aren't there when we're losing?

It's a shame the game isn't played on paper because on paper we have what should easily, easily be a top 4 team. Unfortunately what we lack is a coach that has the ability to bring the best out of the team. To me this has been apparent for the last three seasons. Coaching is a thankless task and I know Greg Harding is a decent bloke but I just don't think he's the man for the job. Swans have always thrived when they play under strict disciplinarians. I'm not sure why that is. The President has hinted that we are going to be short on funds for the next few years (hardly surprising considering someone 'lost' nearly a million dollars...)so I'd reckon they might want to act sooner rather than later.
