Just listened to last nights Swans show. It seems that Harding is quite happy with the teams work rate, but they have lost confidence in their ball use and kicking for goal and therefore are consistently turning it over. More interesting comments from Twomey and Matt Rogers who both said that the team need to 'unify' more.
Listening to Harding speak tonight I wouldn't be that confident about a recall this week if I was Twomey

That's a bit tough on him SD. From what I have seen this year and last, his effort is pretty good and he would be playing to instruction as to how much game time he has/how much he pushes himself. He certainly wasn't the worst last Saturday

With all due respect to both you and Andrew Embley his performance last Saturday was probably the worst in our team if you put it in the context of his experience compared to the likes of Faulkner etc. His disposal was abysmal and his physical presence compared badly to a limp lettuce leaf. In his three games for us this season only one has been anywhere near what you would expect from a player of his experience. Certainly he was not the sole reason for our loss last Saturday; but equally, his performance did not help us in our goal of winning the game.

One probably needs to give him the benefit of the doubt that his fitness levels may not be at their peak; however, it is incumbent upon him to show the leadership which his experience warrants.

As for Harding's comments they certainly would not have mirrored most, if not all, of the Swans' supporters who were at the game. I do agrre that out workrate has improved from some of the mtches we have played.

As for this Saturday's game, for probably the fourth time this year (East Freo, Claremont and West Perth) we will be going in as underdogs. In two of those three games we managed to get a pretty good win, so we can only hope that this will be the case again this Saturday. I expect that there will be a pretty good crowd this Saturday.

Gday to all the Swannie D diehards. I've got a rare break from amateur footy with the bye round being in place for us this weekend so thought I might take the opportunity to go watch my beloved black ducks on saturday. As its been a decade or more since I ventured down to Lathlain/Brownes Stadium can anyone out there tip me off as to a safe & secure location to park the car. Thanks in anticipation

Car park on the eastern or scoreboard side of the ground.

Your car is pretty safe at Brownes DW, it's at Basso you need the secure parking.

Hasnt one of those players just come off a forced lengthy layoff??

Yes, just checked the Swans website and Goodwin hasn't played WAFL since 2011. He is 23 years old and has played just 3 league games for East Perth. Carson is 19 and played 13 colts games for East Freo last year including the Grand Final, averaged just over 10 possessions per game

It was a cracker of a game this afternoon with Swan Districts just edging out Perth. Apparently the attendance being 3,200.
Being one of the best wafl games we've had so far this season I thought. Swans coach Harding seemed happy with the teams effort and how the club is going. I don't think the Perth coaching staff would be that disappointed because all of Perths' losses this season have all been close affairs. Although losing a close game, they would have hoped not. One would assume Claremont and West Perth are top 4 certainties. It's going to be an interesting tussle between East Fremantle, Swan Districts and Perth for their positions in the top 4 in the latter part of the season.

Hopefully the chat Phil Smart was having with Darryl Sinclair after the game involved some talk of not allowing Worobec anywhere near umpiring a Swans game ever again in the future unless it is the Reserves!
