Cricket Australia really have no idea when it comes to scheduling. The Scorchers have been forced to criss cross the country a number of times in the last week or two to play one game in a particular city then back to Perth for one game and then on the plane over east again. Absolutely ridiculous and this insanity was exposed yesterday when the team were stuck at Melbourne Airport with their flight cancelled due to the smoke. Now they are in a position of coming home and having to face the Melbourne Stars who arrived on Monday and have had a chance to train here. But wait there's more, after the game tonight the same two teams fly to Melbourne where they play again on Saturday ( smoke permitting). Just dumb and dumber, hasn't anyone in CA heard of road trips where travelling teams play 2 or 3 games away then play consecutive home games to cut down the travel and wear and tear on the players. Its like the attitude towards the Eagles and Dockers who spend twice as much time travelling than any other AFL team. Plain stupidity.

The PS played in Hobart on Monday, surely playing the MS tonight in Melbourne (which is a short flight away) instead of Saturday would have been more intelligent then coming back to Perth playing here tonight then heading to Melbourne for Saturday?
By the way are CA aware their are direct flights from Hobart to Perth and vice versa available now you dont have to fly via Melbourne?

A bit harsh there I think BC. In every game David has played, he has come in at number 7 and been obliged to throw his bat due to the circumstances of the game so he hasnt really had a chance to establish himself. In my view Sam Whiteman is the guy who is under scrutiny as he has been given an opportunity to bat in the number 3 position since his return and failed on each occasion in that spot. Sad to say but he is a shadow of the player he was before that horrific finger injury.

It will be an interesting game V the Stars with all those West Aussies in the team, I guess all we can say is that they are due a loss hopefully.....

On a positive note what a fantastic spell from Richardson tonight. When he can throw again surely he will be back on the radar for Australian selection. I heard Shane Warne give Josh Inglis a wrap on one of the BBL commentaries and that was before his innings tonight. His glovework is very good as well so he may be lining up as a possibility for an Aussie cap at some stage.

...and I repeat...David is a spud.

No luckily missed it BH. Didn't even catch it on TV. Must have been a dreadful performance. Not really an excuse but the travel schedule might have caught up with them. Stars are playing like the champs at the moment and will be hard to beat

Stars looked in trouble while Livingston was belting them. They were about 9 runs an over.
Once he went they just tossed it in.

LS, I think you mean Inglis.

Livingstone couldn't get the runs even if he dosed up on laxatives.

Fansy getting cleaned up by a second rate finger spinner,Nick Maddinson. Àt least one of the spuds is off Jordan to England. Replaced by Mornie Morkel.Bancroft sucked up to many balls and ran out Mitch Marsh.
