Yeah it was a tragedy what happened to Alderman at the WACA in November 1982 by those thug Poms running onto the ground.
Pretty much put him out of cricket for 2 years with that shoulder injury.
If only he was available for that 1985 Ashes series in Pommyland as you could almost guarantee him another 40 wickets for the series like he did in the 1981 and 1989 Ashes series over there.
He definitely had the wood on Graham Gooch.

as matter of fact the ground invader Mr Foster died about 4 or 5 years or so ago mate

unbalanced the attack entirely and he came back with a vastly different bowling action and pace

Best ever Devo dancing impersonator to come out of NSW? Notorious for getting his head kicked in at the Hippy Club? Hard to believe that shit hole is still going.

Whip it good!! Lol

good posts lads: we had more talent than they did inn the early 1980s
one player whom should have played more for Australia was Mccosker-- he had the problems of having played for Packer, and, don't forget, in those days the selectors always insisted on picking a left-hander, so a player, such as Wood, always played ahead of him.

Mccosker tests 40.00 fc -- 44.00
Wood tests 31.00 fc --39.00

Rick McCosker took a fair while to recover from that shattered jaw and was never quite the same player but he should consider himself unlucky not to have been selected more
there was a bit of a purple patch of runs late in his career opening with Johnny Dyson for NSW , there were some big partnerships
