Good post Mikeh and good to see you did some research.
Another fact I was going to look at was CLA and their last qtrs.
Deep down I seem to remember teams comming back at them in the last QTR.
EF even did it from 8 goals down in last years GF.
Was interested and intended to look at their games on WAFL online and look at the margins were at 3/4 time compared to end of game.
I suppose a start would be to look at the 3 losses they had and other close ones.
If my thoughts are on track if you are with CLA at 3/4 time you have a chance..
Then again it might just be CLA taking their foot off the pedal in Season games. Cant see that happening in a Final.
WP did come back in our last meeting in round 12 even though We had to bring Stockley in from the Ressies after he had played a half with them because Chris Keunen was a late withdrawl.

Maybe tomorrow will have a look at if I get time.. Just food for thought. I sometimes wonder if WAFL coaches go that far into it?

A disappointing end to the season for the club. All 3 teams finishing 5th after playing the GF last season. Looking back they all had similar fates losing games they should have won. Colts winning all but one while the state players were away...not to mention there poor kicking at goals. Ressies having an up & down year throughout plus a mountain of injuries at the wrong time of season; and the league losing those 2 games by less thank kick against EP and then the following week against Claremont when in both games we kicked ourselves out the game which ultimately cost us a spot in the finals.

Next season will bring a heap of uncertainty with the alignments coming into play and the possibilities of retirements to key players. On the flip side their could be some decent players returning to the club.

Good luck to the rest of the clubs for finals...except EP of course. :pinch:
