First time I can say in many many a year, Subi looking to end their drought v EF....only 3 matches, but hey beggars can't be choosers. Looks like no HMarsh this weekend with a hammy....will be missed, as it showed v Meadows and WP on Sat. Might be a good opportunity for JMarsh to spend more time in the guts.

Subi are playing some good hard contested footy, will be exciting to see Mayo back for them, if selected. Talented boy who along with Borchet, Sokol, Tholstrup, Kentfield, and Hansen jnr could cause some headaches for EF defence. Though would like to think EF can return the favour with Dixon, O'Reilly, Leggett, English, Montubaun and JMarsh for Subi's defence.

Great opportunity for McGuire to continue his development v Clarke on the weekend. Both are athletes who do a load of work around the ground. Subi have some exciting youngsters, and some harden quality experience. I think EF edge Subi in the midfield stakes, even without HMarsh.

Should be a cracking contest....can Subi end their losing streak to EF?.....Only 3, but who's counting eh?

Nice summary. Can't see Subi playing Mayo and Kentfield. EF have been all over Subi in the last 3 encounters.

4.10pm start means it will be mostly played under lights, so obviously the lights are back up at the WACA, mind you anything would be better that the lights at Leederville. Any of you Sharkies watched a game under the current lights? At the same game last year not all the towers were there. Any improvement to the food and drinks outlets? Last year was terrible, had allegedly what was described as a burger, I think it was originally cooked in the 90's. Was always able to get a good feed at Moss St.

SS...I was at the WACA last year when we got thumped and Jordy Lockyer did his ACL and to make a bad day even worse, I bought a cheese burger and that's exactly what it was....a cold bun with a meat patty inside and a slice of Kraft cheese and nothing else.  From memory it was $14 or similar so won't be falling for that again.

If they persist in scheduling these games across meal times then they should cater for the viewing public and that's not happening at the WACA. It's not East Freo's fault but it is a fact.

The footballs commission's decision to lift the training restriction placed on Subiaco FC appears to have had an immediate effect. Beau Wardman's declaration midweek was ominous. Fans of the club aren't discussing their chances of winning. The concern is the catering at the WACA. The presidents lunch no doubt will have excellent nosh but for the rest, from all reports, is terrible.

We aren't going to win this week that I can accept but what if I forget to eat before I go to the game? BC and SS are right its the food that is the issue here!

Just to wet the appetite, courtesy of the WAFLvideoarchive, from a time and place when the food at the footy was proper.

Apparently there’s a game of footy on at the WACA Saturday. With Joyce and H. Marsh out, I’m not confident of winning at all.

But back to the important stuff. The food. I gave up on the food last year after having what was a burger in name only. A couple of weeks ago I decided to try the lamb(?) and gravy roll from the inside bar.  After handing over my first born to pay for it, the guy gave me a load of serviettes and said I would need them.  He was right. Loads of meat and gravy with a few chillies on top. It was actually tasty but something you couldn’t eat in polite company. I probably got the food jackpot for the week, so going to try it again on Saturday. Expecting a return to the food norm of last year.
