Congrats to Murdock on his Lynn Medal win, great comeback after his broken leg from last year. Eardley once again coming 2nd.. be interested to see how many top 3 finishes the fella has had. English 3rd, with FF2's boy Jupp coming in 4th, with the Sandover Medallist in 5th spot.

As much as Jupp may be in the coaches favored circle accordingto FF2, the fella has had a great season, led the defence and side well, secured a state jumper and a WAFL team of the year spot to boot too.

FF2 out of interest, who is the tougher coach....Big Ron or Bill? Have no doubt Big Ron moved on a fair few softies back in the day....seemed like a no nonsense sort, who expected a lot from his troops, much like Bill.

Just realized Bill, achieved the same number of wins in one season(14)  as Wiley did in his entire 3 yr term at EF....so I guess a bit of tough love is beginning to pay off down at EFFC, as it did with Big Ron when he took over in 1983....

Can some of the stalwarts help with my memory?
It wouldn’t be the first time a Sandover Medallist hasn’t won the Lynn in that year?
1998 sandover - bromage/ lynn - mellody
1961 sandover - sorrell/ lynn - clarke
1957 sandover clarke/ lynn - sorrell

Boekhorst robbed poor bugger….. 5th place! Poor Jon Marsh outstanding season not even in top 5.
One thing we fail to acknowledge consistently is the positive impact of our West Perth connection on our club. When Billy crossed to us he brought along his support team. We’d be up the creek if not for them.
Thank god Wiley was moved on!
Flag in the bag for 2023……that’s the feel I got last night! And the consensus on my table and others, no excuses for not winning 🏆 in 2023!
Yeah but you only showed up after the 2nd semi loss don't forget FF2. Up until then you were hiding under a rock too frightened to come out! LOL So without watching the H & A games surely you are not in any position to judge who is a worthy winner.

Looks like 2023 flag in the bag KC! We choked in the finals this season and went out in straight sets. I’d like Boekhorst to win the Lynn he was our best player until injured…..but talking about pets, Jupp will go close.
Cripps soft…..can’t see him coping with Bill’s coaching but you never know.
You certainly are becoming the king of outrageous statements FF2.  I think I agree with Ti Em about your (non) allegiance to the Sharks.  That makes me wonder why.  Could it be that after presumably playing in the 84 losing GF, you weren’t good enough to make the successful 85 team and you’re still holding a grudge against the club?  I have had a fair bit of psychological training in my working years, so if you need to talk to someone, drop uncle Sharkie a note.😘
Most of the 84 losing GF team played in the winning 85 or 79 sides no?. Maybe a few played in neither.  FF2 certainly has the look of a troll but with a bit of the whiff of the sealion about them. Obviously finds it very gratifying which does suggest a lack of emotional maturity. I doubt very much they were even born in 1984 let alone having played in the WAFL that year.

At least I went to the Lynn Meda! A great nite…..drank too much! TBH can’t wait for next season when we break the 25 year premiership drought!
I think I’d be spot on if I said you were a person that just loves to stir the pot…as it was??

58, think that 1984 pot has left a long term bitter taste in a certain somebody's taste buds.....to the point, that those tastebuds will never recover, regardless the amount of alcohol consumed.....

You must’ve missed the start, FF2. The host explained the voting system, where every player was rated out of 5. Boekhorst must’ve
missed 6-7 games - pretty hard to win it if that was the case. From memory he was a fair way in front as well.

I guess on that logic that Meadows, Crowden and Edwards should have won their clubs B&Fs as well.

But well done to Milan Murdock- he’ll likely win a few more over his career.

Uber fare would be a bit to steep for me FF2 from my front door....Definitely agree Marsh is one of EF top 5 players.....but in all honesty Marsh had a fair few games where he didn't hit the score board as EF key forward.....pretty sure the top 5 were rewarded for being a tad more consistent across the whole H&A season in the end.

As for Monaghan jnr.....not privy to selection mate.....though I do think Jnr kicked more goals then Holmes did playing as that small-mid size forward, despite playing atleast 10 fewer games from memory....but agree not a good look with Holmes making way for Jnr on PF day.....was there an injury involved perhaps?

Not sure where you're going with that one, FF2??

From another perspective, Boekhorst was 4th for total possession at EF. Murdock and Eardley played 5 more games than Boekhorst. Always going to be tough for Boekhorst to hold on. Sandover is a great reward for a fantastic individual season- but over 21 games- Murdock was a deserving winner.
