Congrats to Teakle on his AFL lifeline.....3 talls taken in the space of 2 months.....a lot of pressure on Goddard to stay fit now....nothing else in the rucking cupboard........perhaps McGuire....hopefully the young fella can make the most of his opportunity......

Well done to Brynn. Definitively leaves big shoes to fill. Rueben McGuire has 2 ressie games under his belt since returning from injury so a league call up could well be on the cards.

Congrats Bryn, hope it really goes well for you.  At least you’ve gone to a decent club.  But ffs, the footy Gods are fuckin with us!!!

I think it’s a good time to get rid of the mid season draft to protect the state leagues and install a mid season trade.  This could be really interesting in both WAFL and AFL.  It would even save some careers.  You can’t keep biting the hand that feeds you and expect the good results to last.

What a kick in the nuts for the club. Great for Brynn and I wish him well- but we have now lost 4 top quality players within 3 months- 3 of them talls. What a joke!

Same for EP as well- who literally have 1 decent forward

The mid-season draft was supposed to be an opportunity for AFL clubs to cover long term injuries with like for like. What it has turned into now is a quasi preseason draft where clubs can take on board the best long term prospects such as Kuek and Teakle outside of the system. Kuek won't play senior AFL footy this year you'd think so it's a kick in the guts for EP that he'll be playing the rest of the season with Peel.

BC, does that mean Kuek can play for Peelmantle this week v Subi? They will already be loaded with some decent listed players plus Fyfe, we wont even get close to them.

Souths & Claremont had both dodged bullets with Florenca and Rogers both missing out, no one from Subi were realistic draftee's, maybe Giro but he would have been a long shot, happy he's staying as he's been in some good form.

I might understand 1 week in the 2's to get to know the players, the club and the coaching group, but if it's any longer, then it proves Teakles just a list filler for them.

Interesting that Hayes gets dropped the very week Teakle arrives at Port....Lycett is 5 weeks away....so Teakle has a month to get some initial SANFL footy then hopefully AFL footy before Lycett is back.

Going to be an interesting set up on the weekend in Port's SANFL team.....Hayes, Teakle and Vicenti all in the same side....not ideal for development if all 3 back up rucks are fighting for rucking minutes.....good luck to Teakle....
