If true, a good 1pt addition to the team.....injuries, COVID and Brisbane being a top 4 side, prevented Joyce from showing his talent at the elite level....Joyce, English, Baskerville, Murdock and Schoenfeld provides EF with a decent midfield brigade.....not sure who else EF have in mind.....but can't see any 10 pointers coming in.......

I guess that’s why it’s important we get back a player like Joyce. He’d be a 10 pointer to everyone else. Your list didn’t have Boekhorst, Marsh, Jansen as well- very strong midfield that’ll be tough to win a place in I’d have thought

Interesting to see a few names as EF "ins" yet nothing confirmed from the club.....Crichton and Riach returning, possibly Winton too  and Joyce seemingly choosing EF over other clubs.....the coaching team seem content with the core playing squad.....and showing the faith, a positive in one sense, though injuries did hurt the club mid season and the reserves finished the season with only 4 wins....thus highlighting some depth concerns.

I guess if you add back:

Schoenfeld
Murdock
Leggett
Chalmers (who has now left i think)
Marshall

Who all missed most of the season, plus Dixon and O'Reilly, then there's a flow on effect back to the Reserves. I would think with a young squad and the finish to the year, that there wouldn't be many new additions. Joyce will be a good one if thats true- maybe waiting until after the draft??

And it's also positive to see players return to the club as well. Not many significant outs except Kommer. Snadden looks to have stagnated and hasn't really delivered on his early promise.

Yeah very true KC....Schoenfeld and Murdock will be welcome additions to EF midfield.....Chalmers I was told has moved to Victoria for work......Be interesting to see who steps up into seniors from the colts prelim team....though Browne, Warner, Williams and Woewodin look odds on for draft selection....with Gorringe and McVee as outside chances.....wouldn't surprise to see Jed Hagan do a Sharpe and Warner next year and play league in his draft year....time will tell on Joyce....definitely a handy in if he signs on for EF.

Tom Joyce return is confirmed on the clubs website. No news of other additions that have been mentioned like Crichton and Riach though.

New name on the EF playing list in ex Calder Cannon/Coburg Jackson McDonald....been playing for Glenroy in the EDFL of late....23 yrs old 183cm midfielder.

Well done to young Gero colt in Judd McVee getting a rookie gig at Melbourne, joining the three W's in Warner, Williams and Woewodin getting AFL gigs yesterday. Gutted for Josh Browne and Josh Cripps both missing out on AFL gigs, surprised Browne missed out, won the WAFL colts F&B and had a standout season not only for EF but also for WA U/18s. Cripps was always behind the 8 ball coming off an ACL rehab.....hopefully both lads get the support needed, stay at EFFC and push for draft selection in 2022. Browne is a classy mid and Cripps at 199cm will add some height to the senior list.

Agree Freez regarding Joshua Browne who would of thought he was a strong chance to be drafted after his solid season. Certainly feel for the young man and hopefully he does get an AFL chance somehow.

Well done on the kids that got drafted- same, Freeze- hopefully Browne sticks at it and plays some League football.

I’d think the League guys would’ve started pre-season or about to, I wouldn’t expect many more major signings. The big thing this off season has been keeping everyone- Dixon and Strnadica in particular.

I believe it was the first preseason training session yesterday.....anyone know where it was held? Surely the Moss St rejig is under way by now?

Only Joyce and McDonald? to speak of recruiting wise, with apparently the recycling of Riach and Crichton. Very quiet indeed, obviously a points factor, be interesting to see if missed draftees in Browne and Cripps can push for league honours....both appear talented, Browne adding midfield depth and Cripps height at 199cm.....but always a big jump from colts to senior footy.....
