If I did Satan, I'd be on the phone to Bill & Doddy quick smart mate.....though Darren Bennett had a decent roost on him back in the day.

He certainly did Freeze.
Can remember him in a few WAFL Finals circa 1984-86 roosting them from well outside the 50m arc (which the WAFL invented I might add along with the 25m line) and clearing the fence behind the goals with ease.
No surprise he made a good living for many years as a kicker in the NFL post his Aussie Rules Football career!

BH, I'll always remember him almost singlehandedly destroying Subi in the '86 2nd semi when he kicked 11 I think, many from outside 50, he was a glorious kick of the footy. But 2 weeks later ..........

Spot on SS, I was there as a neutral 11yo and Bennett was kicking them 60m+ from all angles and was the difference in that 2nd Semi.
Bennett's kicking action was something to behold though, he really had a very high leg lift on his follow through which no doubt helped in gaining such a long trajectory.

Bennett like the rest of that 1986 EF side, played their GF in that 2nd semi v Subi....then forgot to turn up for the actual GF 2 weeks later.......actually Bennett had back to back 10 goal + hauls.....kicked 10 v Cl  in EF last H&A game, then 11 v Subi in the 2nd semi....

I remember watching Bennett in a reserves game in 83 or 84, kicked a goal at Subi Oval from the  grandstand wing, the ball  went goal post high....must of gone about 80-85 metres.....pity he had injuries in 85, missed out on that GF win over Subi....

I was behind the goals at Subi watching us playing Swans when Big Dazza (Dazza ? ) kick one from 100 metres out (well maybe 55)   and it was music to watch.  That man was brilliant.

Sorry if this has been covered already but where are East Fremantle training this year?  At the WACA?   There was a picture on another thread of the EF colts training at Subiaco Oval.

I heard they had an agreement for the league squad to train at the WACA. ideal for training with such good lights.
