A positive start to the season but have we beaten 3 of the bottom 4 clubs? With games against Peel, Claremont and South in the next 3 weeks I’d expect a clearer picture of where we sit within the comp will come. Confidence is a big plus, hopefully we can keep playing good footy and pick up more wins.

For me the positives are not just that our much-lauded recruits are delivering but that players like Peake, North, Eaton etc are stepping up as well. We aren't relying on the 'stars' to carry us in the games although they step up as well when required. The confidence that comes from a positive process is really reaping rewards.

Grump, McQueen is a superb coach, has been for a long time. Can't wait for CL v EP in a couple of weeks

Its quite interesting T,O.O,that you rate McQueen so highly, which is a view obviously not shared by the board of your perenially under achieving club,as you had Roscoe coaching in the lower grades for more than a decade.I have a feeling you may struggle in a couple of weeks as the previous Royals coach  managed to conquer your club 2 of the last 3 meetings with a vastly inferior midfield, and after watching Mitch Crowden at close quarters,i think i have to reassess placing Aidan Clarke as the NO1 midfielder in the competition, and Crowden, is 1 of 5 Royal midfielers who have made todays state  squad.,and i wouldn,t be surprised if the other ex docker recruit Tom North is added to the squad in the coming weeks.

Just amazes me some supporters of clubs who get all excited because their team wins 3 games in a row for the first time in many years ( against bottom four clubs of 2022 mind you) find it necessary to dump crap on another club that in reality has achieved much more than East Perth in the last decade. Sure they havent won flags but that has a bit more to do with Subis dominance in that era than any failings on their part. As a Swans supporter I would love for my team to be in the finals every year competing for a flag which like East Perth we have perennially failed to do.

Come back and crow in 6 weeks when your mob has taken on and beaten West Perth, Peel Claremont, Sharks and Bulldogs. Then we might believe you are the real deal.

i have to agree with you Mikeh. We have had a easy start.Last year we stumbled early. Our momentum is good at the moment but we now have to beat clubs who did finish in the five last year.Looking at the results so far it looks like a even comp except for Perth and Beagles.I am happy with how the Royals are progressing but we need to tidy aspects of our game as we need to play four quarters against better teams. The upcoming Peel game will tell us how much we have improved from last year when they belted us both times.

well MIckey, whati i'm saying is not inconsistent with the TIGER boards line of thiniking, who if you remember sacked a coach for losing a grand final by a couple of points, and your board isn't looking particularly bright at the minute either ,for sacking a coach who was10 aand 8 and beat 4 of the 5 top teams in 2022.

You seem to know a lot about other clubs
Fact is Pickering was not sacked, it was a mutual decision as Adams work commitments were becoming more of an issue in terms of his time to be able to devote to coach the team

Mike, I am excited that we have won 3 games as you would be with Swans, but using the commonly used adage for me iit is about taking week in turn, like this week we play Peel and who knows which Peel will be on the field and it will be our next test.

The thing that I am really excited abt is that the new coach is willing to move players around, reward performances in the two's and that we have a positive feel in the changerooms (which started before we had won a game).

Stay positive and look forward.

We seem to be much better and effective in the centre clearances so far (and for that matter around the ground too). In that regard Schumacher has always been a bull, but that has shown more than ever in these three games imo. I think the removal of the centre bounce means Scott Jones hitouts are more significant which is helping us quite a lot imo.
