Here is another one for the Subi lads and other experts on the WAFL regarding the hardest position on the ground, centr-half-forward. Here are some names from the past:

Phil Matson
Les Hardiman
Warren Dean
Paul Mcdonald
Glen Durnthaler
Karl Langdon
Russell Marshall
Laurie Kettlewell
Richard Ambrose

to name a few of them whom have olayed the position.

Warren Dean could kick a footy.

Todd Breman played a bit at CHF. He could punt it too, in more ways than one.

Ron Bayens deserves to be in that conversation.

I thought Durnthaler was more an East Freo guy.

Kettlewell could play (brilliantly) anywhere, so if he had stayed at CHF, would be a walk-up start IMO.

BH: yep, shane Braddy never really made it., did he? He came over with John Tossel in 1983, whom for his part could not manage a league game at the club.

Ron Bayens and Warren Dean for mine. Renee Longdonk as he was called back then was a regular state player and Deano was terrific.

BC: yep, that was one of Bunton's good moves getting Dean into the back line; it was surpassed only by his decision to move Breman from the midfield to full-forward.

Peter was a bit before my time AR but I believe he played a fair bit at half forward & Daniel played both at half back and half forward.
Did Mick Malone play a bit at CHF AR?
