Many years ago an old boss of mine introduced me to the BOHICA principle of management, which he said you could apply to any organisational changes particularly unnecessary ones which created problems for staff or were due to a manager trying to exert their power rather than trying to benefit the organisation.

I thought that BOHICA was a very scientific term to describe a theory of change until I was told that it stood for Bend Over Here It Comes Again which is probably what the Swans players and supporters are feeling about their 3rd clash with Subiaco this year. The margins in the other two games in 2018 have been frankly embarrassing and it is hard to imagine this game going any other way than another large defeat.

Swans now have an entrenched inferiority complex against these guys and its not surprising considering the fact that in the last ten years, 25 games against this opposition have only produced 7 wins,4 of these were during 2010 - 2013 but it has been slim pickings otherwise. In this time we have had some absolute thumpings from them and the last time at Bassendean I thought Swans almost seemed resigned to defeat in the first quarter.

3 years ago almost to the day was the last victory over them, on a wet and windy afternoon at Bassendean, we ground out a gutsy 1 point victory on the back of an outstanding individual effort from Ryan Davis who laid an amazing 20 tackles! You get the feeling that it might need somebody to stand up like Ryan did that day to finally break this hoodoo.....

Should be a good indicator where SD sits in scheme of things, esp with finals footy still in the offering.....hopefully young Italiano can back up last week's performance v EF....would be great to see SD let young Cameron loose as well.....got nothing to lose playing the kid...with Cl pushing Subi to 3 pts last week, nothing is impossible now...

Cracker of a post mikeh...made me laugh out loud. Whilst resigned to our league playing out the remainder with the enthusiasm levels of a Gold Coast footy fan I’m actually going to head down and excited to watch our colts have a crack tomorrow despite the weather forecast. Won’t be hanging around for the league...just a bit of circle work for Subi for all the reasons you mentioned. Hope the colts bring it for what I’m sure is going to be a bloody chilly morn.

A good 1st half up against the bought foreign legion mob were we had a red hot go and put them under pressure (but one thinks a certain commissioner who was at the game in a capacity for the foreign legion mob would you believe?, well actually you would knowing who it was and he does not hide his biased allegiance for $ubi even as a supposed unaligned commissioner) he might have gone into the umpires changerooms at half time and dropped in the weekly cheque as 4 extremely soft free kicks to $ubi resulted in goals in the 3rd qtr effectively ending the contest but the 50m penalty to Horsley that resulted in a goal had to be seen to be believed talk about complete maggot incompetence!
And what a piss poor turn out by the "$ubi faithful" there obviously wasnt a Bowra & O'Dea, Mareena Purslowe or Chippers conference on at Leederville Oval to boost their grossly inflated attendance numbers as per usual!
As for the "Centre of Effluent" what a disgrace of a ground...pity $ubi couldnt put some of their money towards buying a super sopper or similar, instead of spending it on annual recruiting!

Maybe the Subiaco supporters were confused playing Swans for a third time this year. They may have believed Gavin Taylor's comments about the fixturing of the 17th and 18th matches and were expecting to play South Freo or Peel.

You bogans would actually make me laugh if you weren't so pitiful ....does anyone at bogandean know who that clown is that yells out all through the game and intermingles his stupidity with foul language? he was seated in the main grand stand today on the EP social premises side. this idiot is an embarrassment to your club and needs to pulled into line.

Agree, this bloke is an A grade flog!!! At home games he sits in the Macca stand,I dare say if he was up in the members or either of the Can bars acting like he does then he’d have been pulled up.

What a disgrace Leederville is in the wet a bit like Steel Blue. Not good enough for Wafl level.Swans have now played Subi 6 times in 2 years. With all 6 results being massive Subi wins.We should only play Subi four times in the next 2 years.
