Has anyone heard anything from the Club at all regarding recruiting anyone. I have read emails, Facebook posts and everything I can find on the Website, but cannot find anything to suggest we have actually attempted to recruit anyone.
Has anyone spoken to anyone at the club and heard anything?

I think what Perth need to do is get out and have a look at some of the local talent, some very good young players out there in the Amateur League.

DF....considering Perth have recruited the Morton boys, Davis, Bevan, Graham et al over the last few years....and all them were tried and tested footy names.....I can see Kick the Balls logic....plus don't forget Tropiano was pretty "untried" when you got him at the WAFL level and he won a Sandover!

I Know Subi are not winning any popularity stakes on here but they have been very successful finding under utilised and under appreciated players at other clubs where they were not given opportunities, guys like Latham, Stockley and Sokol have been or are great contributors for Subi. Opportunities a great thing so sometimes you find gems in unexpected places, like other clubs reserves teams and in the Am's.

SS: The problem with such an idea is that because Subi do it themselves, the PFC would have to pay over the odds for players they are unsure are league standard.

No just giving blokes a chance when others dont, pretty simple really, even for a Joondy supporter.

I think another problem SS is that Subi can slot players into an already successful side which makes it a lot easier to suddenly 'improve'. A player coming into PFC, no matter who they are, carries a ridiculous weight of expectation. If Sokol for instance came to PFC we would be the next big thing and he would be judged harshly whereas at Subi he can just play footy.

Yes STT it is easier to be a good player in a good side rather than a champion in a bad side.
