Swan was Walters forced to play for Peel a couple of weeks ago in his comeback match?

If so tell me what the difference is? If Freo were aligned with Peel at the time he would have been sent back to Peel.

I don't like the alignment in its current form but don't agree that Walters would have walked away.

Does one seriously think that Lyon and Son Son had a vote to see if he would stay at Freo and train or get sent back to Swan Districts? In MY OPINION I think he would have walked away from the AFL if he had been forced to go to Peel. With respect to this season it is an entirely different situation; Son Son was not on the outer at Freo and knew that it was just a matter of time before he played again for Freo this year.

They do because they are thick as bricks and biased towards AFL's oldest list for 2014

42......considering Clancee only wants to play for SD when he comes back to the WAFL, he seemed AFL interested and motivated enough to pick up 30 odd possessions for Peel on the weekend v EP......surely if SD really did play as big part in turning around Walters as many SD folk like to believe, than part and parcel of being the that consummate professional is getting your head down and delivering the goods wearing any teams footy colours....the end result being ultimately showing Lyon you have the character and desire to deliver the goods in a Freo jumper.......

I have no doubt Walters is a passionate SD man like Clancee, but come end of the day they would of be both immature and stupid to walk away from lucrative careers as a professional sportsmen, simply because they had to dress up in Peel colours to prove their fitness and desire to get back on the AFL stage  ......not everyone is passionate about the SDFC as you would like to think 42.......the WAFL is a stepping stone for these boys.......nothing more nothing less!

hear hear freez. if you listen to 42 the whole footy world revolves around SD...to suggest Walters would have walked away from an AFL career because he was directed to go back to the chunder instead of swans and get himself sorted is nonsense.

Pure arrant nonsense BC. Please quote where I have said that SD is the centre of the whole footy world. Further BC perhaps you can explain the depth of your knowledge vcis a vis Swans' support networks for our players' welfare.

Freezin many Swans' supporters, including myself, witnessed Clancee Pearce's game early in the season against Swans. It may not come to pass but it would be extremely illuminating if Swans were to play "East Perth" in the WAFL GF and see which team Nic Naitanui chose to support.

you haven't said swans is the centre of the whole footy world...clearly that's my take away from your posts. and if you're suggesting the support network of a WAFL club is vastly superior to that of an AFL club with all their resources then i think i've made my case that you are delusional...or at least in denial.

BC are you being deliberately disingenuous or contrary? Where have I said that the support network of a WAFL club is vastly superior to that of an AFL club? The two WAFL clubs germane to this discussion are Swan Districts Football Club and Peel Football Club. Thus, it is the comparison between Swans' and Peel's support network that need to be done.

mate...based on 42's comments I have no doubt Pearce will give up an AFL career and play for SD if he is to be traded...chit..who wouldn't? ;-)

You only have to hear Nic Nat's answer on the Fox Footy Channel advertisement on which (AFL) footy team he supported as a kid to know the answer to that question 42!! :)
