Ch9 would the ones laughing at this, plenty of mentions in Stokes' paper which is what they are after.
the leadership of the WAFC/WAFL is the biggest joke out of all this, they have no control over their comp.

I suggest you and the supporters of the other G6 clubs talk to your clubs hierarchy about what is happening at next weeks practice games. You might be surprised which side they are taking, your own FM is one of the strongest against the Keitel move.

There is a lot of angst that just when the comp starts getting a bit of momentum leading into the start of the season there is another negative story eminating from the North. It is less than two weeks before the start of the season and still no one is talking football. That is horrible for the futute of the WAFL.

I couldnt care less about Keitel to be honest and i have my own opinion on things.
and like most things once the footy actually starts my opinion is things will sort themselves out, there is always politics in footy and agendas from both clubs and media alike as we saw last year with the salary cap story.

if we had decent leadership from the WAFC/WAFL then these drams could be sorted out but you reap what you sow, they only have themselves to blame, WP are the least of the comps worries - Peel and EP run their own show and Subi are trying to cherry pick players off clubs, they are bigger problems than a little power struggle between ch9 and 7west media.

Your team has one of the best zones in the WAFL. You will start caring about the Keitel thing if clubs start poaching colts players from other clubs. Swans, Claremont and the two Fremantles will be the teams targeted. Why spend thousands developing your zone when you can cherry pick the best juniors from other clubs for a $2k transfer fee.

Once again, talk to your clubs hierarchy on Saturday and ask them what they think.

I agree about the leadership thing. They have let things pass through to the keeper for far too long. If they rebuked earlier the comp would have a far more positive feel about it leading into a very important season. Instead the negativity has bred and the comp is one good punch away from being knocked out.

if our kids want to leave Swans then that is their choice, the only reason they would leave is for money as the opportunity to play league football and get drafted is why youngsters want to play for Swans so your "theory" is off the mark if you are talking about Swans.

our players leave cos clubs like Subi offer them more money like they did with Twomey and Robinson and tried to do with Davis and no doubt will do next year, Subi are leeches and a bigger problem to the comp than WP trying to get Keitel.

I agree. This petty argument is not bringing new supporters to the comp and disenfranchising the few there are left. The us against the world campaign being run by WP will be the final nail in the WAFL.

Barney I am by no means a fan of West Perth. However, to think that certain people who are charged with the resposnibility of running the WAFC can suggest that a club should forego $300,000 worth of sponsorship is unbelievable and totally irresponsible.

One word Barney: Ellenbrook

Further to expand on your theme what consideration did your club give to the other WAFL clubs and the WAFL competition when you got into bed with the West Coast Eagles?

And then turn around in the same breath & permit their bastard child Mandurah to forfeit paying their debt instalment for 2014!
