I read an article in the West last week an article about the WAFL merchandise stand at the Royal Show.
1 East Perth sold the most at $1340.00
3 West Perth sold $890.00
8 Peel sold $230.00
9 Perth sold $115.00
They didn’t publish any amounts with the other clubs.
Anyway, a bit of trivia to mull over.

Maybe they are the most popular team in the competition. ;)

Or maybe its because it will be very rare collectors items seeing they now no longer exist

A GF attendance of fewer than 12,000 spectators puts that hypothesis to bed FOREVER A/man.

What is particularly interesting is that article mentioned the 3rd top seller with no mention of the 2nd top seller. Why would a journalist do that?

Was run by Claremont when I was there. East Perth may have near the most "supporters" in the state but like most clubs, their support extends as far as checking the results or ladder once in a while these days. Now I know what it's like to support the other clubs when no one is that interested. Except for Swans they still have a massive following.

what happened to Nisbett and Rosich's claims that the aligned clubs will increase attendances by 5000 per game due to Beags and Dorks supporters wanting to see the next crop of AFL stars in action?

That was a ridiculous thing to say wasn't it. People have football AFL stuffed down their throats 24/7, you can't escape it. Even a football lover like myself finds it hard to watch much of it. The last thing in the world they want to do is watch a vastly inferior product (WAFL) on top of it.
