Positive Mathematics
Looking at the last 6 rounds of the 2014 season for the League side, it is still mathematically possible to make the finals.
HOWEVER, several other factors besides mathematics need to occur.
1) EVERY player EVERY week needs to COMMIT 100%
2) The SELECTION Panel need to get it RIGHT
3) Claremont need to beat East Fremantle in Round 19
4) South Fremantle need to win the Derby
5) WE need to beat EF in Round 21 (preferably by a HUGE margin for % sake
6) West Perth MUST win ALL 3 final games (all away) against Peel, Claremont & Perth.

FACT - Drop one game and it is truly season OVER.

IF these events take place then West Perth can, on % make 4th spot. Of course injuries could blow a hole in this, (though we will have some coming back into the side)

Footnote - It will be interesting to see how many of those that have abused me (on facebook not here) over recent weeks make a comment on this.

There is no chance in hell west perth will play finals this year. Did you not watch Tuesdays game?

Agree mathematically possible Mike but logically impossible.
If CLA win and we lose will drop a position as well I think.

Our injuries are horrific and they are key players.. Striker and Kody alone create a huge hole.

Nice to be positive CF but I think to be REALLY positive you have to be realistic..

Wont be at the EP Game but might catch you at the SD or EF games at Joondalup if you can make the long trip from down south.

Mathematically many things could happen in the world, but West Perth playing finals is a furphy on form, and they absolutely do not deserve too

So basically CF.....going by your maths mate EF need to go 0 - 5 for WP to play finals......go WP I say, because EF would deserve jackshit for doing that.......out interest how many games has WP won this year?.....6 in total?......yet you think they will win 6 on the trot to play finals?.........fark good luck me friend!

I said 3 weeks ago that we would struggle to win 2 more games for the season, that was before the Foxtel debacle and Manning,Rodda,Strijk and Potente gone !

Bottom line you have your highs and lows... We hit the high last year and a bit of a temporary low this year.

SwanDog I think your club is doing a bit of Dreaming as well.. We will play a couple of less games than you but the end result will be the same.
Pretenders as you are. Snuck in by a couple by lower teams e.g Perth and Sth Freo been beaten by teams equal with you. There lies the truth.
We hold the 2013 flag and you certainly wont hold the 2014 flag.

Winning games would be good for the soul and moral and that's it!

My desires are simple for the remainder of the year wether games are won or not and are as follows....

Several senior players given time in reserves to be given time to reignite their passions, and skills
Footy skills to improve "markedly"
The reserves players given senior time due to player injury to grab bit between teeth and be the positive force needed amongst the league on field exploits
Selfishness and individual glory gIven the BOOT metaforically and figuratively
And lastly - to do what has been lost this year except in small almost discreet door openings 'To play as a TEAM'
