Agree Growler... My thoughts exactly start giving some of those Ressies a run in League so not going in cold next year.
My only concern is if the League guys take the place of Reserves in the finals if we get there. The Reserves have worked hard to be where they are and dont deserve to be dropped in the finals
Having said that though the players who are elevated will most probably come back to the Ressies in the Finals series.
I assure you from watching the Ressies every week they ARE PLAYING AS A TEAM and Paul doesnt put up with any shit. Not saying Bill has underperformed as he has a different group and I tend to believe what the League players do on the field in a lot of cases ARE NOT HIS INSTRUCTIONS.

So good idea to let the League guys who get dropped see what it is like to play as and in a team.

As Leedy says we will be battling with our injuries and form to win another game but I am sure we will cause a couple of UPSETS and help form the final 4.

Looking forward to seeing how the club approaches the rest of the season but feel sure they will go the way of your thoughts Growler because we have nothing to lose by trying them.

Looking at the last 6 rounds of the 2014 season for the League side, it is still mathematically possible to make the finals.
HOWEVER, several other factors besides mathematics need to occur.
1) EVERY player EVERY week needs to COMMIT 100%
2) The SELECTION Panel need to get it RIGHT
3) Claremont need to beat East Fremantle in Round 19
4) South Fremantle need to win the Derby
5) WE need to beat EF in Round 21 (preferably by a HUGE margin for % sake
6) West Perth MUST win ALL 3 final games (all away) against Peel, Claremont & Perth.

FACT - Drop one game and it is truly season OVER.

IF these events take place then West Perth can, on % make 4th spot. Of course injuries could blow a hole in this, (though we will have some coming back into the side)

Footnote - It will be interesting to see how many of those that have abused me (on facebook not here) over recent weeks make a comment on this.

Sorry mate your dreaming

SwanDog I think your club is doing a bit of Dreaming as well.. We will play a couple of less games than you but the end result will be the same.
Pretenders as you are. Snuck in by a couple by lower teams e.g Perth and Sth Freo been beaten by teams equal with you. There lies the truth.
We hold the 2013 flag and you certainly wont hold the 2014 flag.
Enjoy your remaining games and I mean that... See you Next week :)

Cardy I normally enjoy your contributions to this site but this bee in your bonnet that you have about Swans sounds like sour grapes to me. You just can't bring yourself to give some credit to a team that has won 12 and lost 4 out of 16 games. This from a team that was picked by everybody with no exception to be on the bottom of the ladder. Swans have beaten everybody in the competition except for East Perth and they haven't played them since March. Yes they have won games against teams like South and Perth and your mob who were all expected to be much better than Swans. Not our problem if these teams are crap, you can only beat what is put out in front of you. I am under no illusions about what may happen in the finals series as there is only one way this year can probably finish as you have said yourself a few times but at least Swans will be competing in the finals.......

Since originally posting this topic, 4 of the 6 factors have taken place, with the remaining 2 factors yet to be determined.

1) The players are committing
2) The selectors are getting it right
3) Claremont beat East Fremantle
4) South Fremantle won the Derby

5) & 6) Yet to be determined.

SO, for 'thefalconstrike' still think we are 'no chance' do you?
Sorry 'Cardy' your concrete is not yet 'set' and your logic is becoming a possibility
kirbs - ANY side that makes the finals DESERVES to be there

and to Freezin, Leedy & Swandog - nyah nyah nah nah nah

After Saturday's game against East Fremantle I am hoping I get to say "TOLD YA SO"
