It's funny this is going to be the Indigenous round and our jumper has all the art work for the occasion etc...but I don't think our league team has one indigenous player in it this round, correct me if I am wrong?

No reflection on the club of course.
Our club has certainly had some champions over the years. Saw Bill Dempsey last game and sure he will be at this one as well.
Now next weekend will be a different story. Plenty of reps for that. Being the International Day v Subiaco at Joondalup..
Two Big games as well.

Koops was my favorite indigenous player in the last few years, remember him in the 99 premiership squad, what a champ!

The Hill brothers are fantastic also, but they did not get to see much action with us as both drafted at a young age.

Wirrapunda had a few games but thats going back a bit he had a couple after injury as well.

Very disappointing day for the Club today going down in all grades. Seniors very poor again after half time. Wasted season. Looks like the Foxtel Cup is their only practical aim left for the boys now!

Disappointing is an understatement VF We just didnt turn up today in all 3 grades. It could of gone the other way in any game but didnt work out that way..

Colts Had the wood on SD at 3/4 Time but only managed 1 point in the last qtr to lose the game. SD kicked 4.6 in the last qtr in a low scoring game

Reserves One of the worst games I have seen all season after leading into QTR time Kicking 1 goal 8 Points in the third qtr was what killed us.
Sure we will bounce back next v Subi but it will show if we deserve to be in the run for the finals as Subi on Top and playing well.
A lot of guys left their kicking boots at home and we just didnt have the passion or tackling ability we have shown in previous games. Lets hope it is a one off
I cannot say all players were not up to standard as we had a few who played well but it is hard when HALF the team is missing.

Disappoint in Lynchy (who had high possession rate) who I have given wraps to and Drew Rhode. Not having a go at those 2 as others under performed
Players who might not of had high possession but did a lot of Hard work and got the 1 percenters Were Mills,Embley, Branch,McNamara and Braydon Antonio.
Most probably missed a couple and apoligies to them.




LEAGUE Vital game as far as the season goes and a loss that just about takes our Final 4 chances away. Mathematically we can still do it but cant see it as we are inconsistant.
Great game up to Half time and then the drought set in.
I was not impressed with our Match Plan where we had no avenue to goal except for Slick who was made the target and he was usually on his own with 2 SD players with him. No other options were there until in the last qtr when it was to late.
Not happy with the idea of our entire team going back and leaving our forward line empty with 1 player there.
Swans always had a lot of options up forward and played a more standard game.
Our defence even so was kept very busy. Striker played his usual great game along with Hunty down back.

Blacky, Kerr , Jones busted their guts. VB was in the game in flashes.
Small men in Johnno and Nelly tried hard..

The way I see it now is we must look at where we are after next weeks game v SUBI.

To get anything out of the season we will have to look at putting our A side in v Williamstown and with some luck getting a win.. $100,000 will take some of the disappointment away.

The EP game on the following Saturday will be of little consequence.I for one will not be heading to Medibank for that one but that was a decision I made before the season started. Just my little protest to say FARK the alignment

Looking forward to the game next week v Subi in all grades and hopefully we can turn today around. Big day being the International Football Festival.

And why has it got AFL UNITING AUSTRALIA on the poster. It one thing to say they are Uniting Australia but they ARE CERTAINLY NOT UNITING Australian football

The promotion is being put on by the West Perth Football club in conjunction with the WAFC E.G Ah it is all clear the WAFC considers us a part of the AFL!!!!!

The promotion is being driven by the West Perth Football District with the support of the West Perth Football Club Board and the West Australian Football Commission.

Got that right VF, I had a good chat to Keuns before the game and he was confident along with me but Swans are where we need to be in the desire stakes, I gather after winning a flag that area is lacking somewhat ! Our disposal is poor at best and apart from the odd qtr or so in the remaining 7 games where we will have a good patch, we have struggled in that area on a consistent basis.

Im gutted about our performance and Swans look real good, good luck to them for the rest of the season and they have stitched everyone up in the WAFL community good and Proper !
