You need to revisit the percentage changes Cardy. Before the start of the round WP had just over an 18% increase in percentage over EP. Now it's down to just over 9% difference.

If WP lose to SD in the last round it's probably even money for 2nd spot. In saying that South will be a real challenge for EP this week.

Ol Boy wrote: Well Falcon supporters what happened today?? Up to half time it looked like a real arm wrestle, after that it was as if you guys stopped dead in your tracks & on your on dung heap as well. Anyone have a first hand report on the game???

Ol Boy, good first 1/2 by our young blokes but we didnt have the experience out there when EF flexed their muscles. We have 9 quality players out atm, wouldnt mind playing EF in the Finals, they were really good today though, umpiring was good to I thought !

Yep will have a look.. Had a quick look but will look harder mate.. Just heard the Chris on 91.3 say EP got a 4% boost from game v Perth and at the time we had a 15% lead on EP..
To be quite honest I spent a lot of time looking at how much EP would have to win by if we lost to get in if they win V Subi and SF... (Actually SF had a good one today)

e.g

Last night WP had a Percentage of 118% and EP 103 %

After todays game WP have a % of 112.03 EP % of 103

So WP percentage has dropped by 6% EP no change.

(FARK I HATE THESE PERCENTAGE CALCS)

That is a percentage difference of 10 appx in WP Favour

So if EP def Subi and SF how much will their percentage change v Win /Loss?
Ok lets say They remain the same or thereabouts and WP loses to SD by a margin similar to today that would mean they would drop to 106% still 3% above EP?

That is assuming EP beat both Subi and SF and WP loses to Swans..

Bottom line lets leave it another week and then we will be able to calculate on better figures... Jumping the gun a bit here... and will be a clear figure next week after the games (WP % wont change as a bye) but must wait on result of EP V SF game dont your agree. (Yep I am going to this one because its close to me)

Heres the ladders if anyone wants to have a play.. Best of luck. As I said I only worked on what the 91.3 commentator said and it appears he was 2% out but in fairness he was pretty close.. Thanks for the feedback CLRVIEW as it worth clarifying but as I said a lot factors involved trying to work it out in advance :)

Ol Boy my friend, todays game was a training run really. East Perth have to win by over 160 points in their next two games if West Perth draw against Swans. If West Perth lose by seven goals against Swans then East Perth have to win by 140 points in their next two games. We rested seven players today because of injury, these players are sore and we don't know if these blokes will come up in the finals.

BTW lads, how about a tribute to Slick. He got hurt and he wont be back. You said this was your last year and your injury today prematurely ended it. Thanks Slick for your high marks, soccer goals and the bloody good bloke you are. I hope you stay around the club and pass on your passion.

Shit bad news and no Finals for the guy? Thanks for the info Winger.
Slick has been a great servant to the club and deserved better but thats footy.
Any idea what the injury was as he seemed to as fast as ever until the injury today.
Hope it didnt come from that Kicking in Danger that the umps missed?

Will put something together when it is confirmed by the club Steve. Have a bit of time with no game next weekend. Will put it on a separate topic if no one else does. Will miss the NO 11. Played 169 games not a bad record :)

Slick had a bad knock, he went back on and hurt his shoulder. he was in a lot of pain and watched the game off the bench. Be good if you put something together.

Great stuff! Apparently the attendance at the Arena today is said to be just a tick over 6,000
Apparently the other 3 matches were poorly attended.

That second half was just farking DISGUSTING! we are second on the ladder and we play like that against a 5th place team..a fantastic crowd by mostly local people you would think the boys would show them how good they can play...I recon those girls that played after the game would have put up a better fight! pathetic.

And I don't take this horse chit excuse about senior players who did not play....the game was very even until half time they just gave up as soon as EF had got onto a roll, just weak as piss.

I feel sorry for Slick, I just hope he can come back.
