After a long travel, to Moora & back - a hard fought game with heavy contests - several injuries and likely sore bodies this weeks game cannot be taken too lightly

I would like to see the guys maintain the run to the Finals and to create the belief in themselves they can certainly make this a very special year - the Tige's aren't invincible and we have the cattle to prove their Achilles heal exists - and he doesn't look like 'Brad Pitt'

The Sharks too may still be a little weary from their last games...but they also have something to prove as the year closes out
Beating us is among them

Keunen may have to baby his shoulder through the week and Frank S. may get the call up me thinks to assist...
Our smalls crack open the white sticks weekly and lucky for us they do as there isn't a tall to go too and I don't see Peder's making a dash to the finals given the time he'll need to overcome his injury and then there's match fitness to consider...

Its just the 'centre' where it all starts on the bounce of the ball that's going to be a target of interest for us -
We cant rely on the possibility of Hutchy making a hot come back in the finals - even though he may....its up to who we have now to push themselves further and have the belief , the desire, the guts and bravado to on the Finals challenge full tilt and make this year belong to West Perth

Their are so many of our older supporters who deserve to see it happen - the benefit to the young players would be enormous and the Club of course would spring off into 2014 on an enormous high
Lastly it would release many of the doubters from hanging off Bills heals

Much more to be said here but its up to those that follow to have some fun - cheers :cheer:

Good post Growler and says it all. I have been impressed with our guys as they seem to be playing like a well oiled machine. Best I have seen all season and with a few outs/
Injury list a bit out of date on WP site but sure it will updated later in week

A couple from Saturdays game x the match report
INJURIES – WEST PERTH: Tedesco (calf), Jones (thigh)

You can also add Chris as I did notice he was holding that shoulder but Frank will be a good in if Chris needs a rest. Frank dominated the ruck in the ressies on Saturday and was also handy up forward. 54 HO's from memory

Other injuries from the WPFC Site from 2 AUG are below.. Hunty is back as is Antonio from this list

INJURY LIST UPDATE

AS AT FRIDAY 2 AUGUST 2013

PLAYER INJURY EXPECTED RETURN DATE

BRAYDEN ANTONIO KNEE 1 WEEK
COREY CHALMERS HIP FLEXOR 1 WEEK
SAM CURNOW HAMSTRING 1 WEEK
JOSH DONALDSON BROKEN ARM 7 WEEKS
DAN HUNT ANKLE 1 WEEK
JOE MORROW HAMSTRING TEST
MICHAEL PETTIGREW HAMSTRING 6 WEEKS
LAINE RASMUSSEN CORK 4 WEEKS
NICK ROBERTSON SHOULDER SEASON
JAY VAN BERLO KNEE 4-6 WEEKS
SHAYNE ZANETTI GROIN SEASON

Looks like we aren't exactly the fastest bird in the flock .... Should have been designed by 'MARVEL' instead of 'DISNEY'
Lets hoe the kids like it - after all they'll be the ones punching him in the belly and following him around the ground ... Watch out for the bird Plop - its gonna be big and nasty ! :woohoo:

From the WPFC Website... Hmmm 30,000 free ticket giveways.. Now that would be interesting if everyone turned up :) Razor must be getting close to his 150th but pretty sure it will be the SD game? Even though WAFL site has him down for a milestone. Could be wrong

Sunday the 18th of August will be a day of celebration, a day that will unite those of many cultures through a sport we all love, AFL. The Falcons Football District, The West Perth Football Club and The WA Football Commission unite to host an International Football Festival to be held at the Falcon’s home ground, Arena Joondalup.

With over 50% of residents in the northern suburbs being of multicultural background the Falcons welcome new Australians to the great game of AFL, offer an opportunity to learn some of the skills and have a bit of fun while you’re at it.

On Sunday 18th August the West Perth Football Club will open it’s doors to free ticket holders to their annual International Round as West Perth take on East Fremantle in the lead up to WAFL Finals. More than 30,000 free tickets are being distributed through local schools and the community newspaper.

in a positive wafl sense for a change, i think this will be a terrific game. so much riding on it. two good teams in good form on the eve of september.

me and my son will actually be venturing out to this game on sunday, just as footy enthusiasts. been a tough year for us so we need a footy fix. if it was on saturday my son wouldnt be able to attend due to work. but being a sunday we are able to get there. there are some positives to sunday games for some of us. hope its a nice day for it.
