Obviously there is much the team can improve on in the coming weeks as some quality heads return from injury
in my own observation though I would like to see the guys not hug the corridor almost EVERY time when going forward, especially at the expense of men OPEN on the centre. The old adage of "them so blind they do not see" comes to mind

Bill writes he may have some things up his sleeve for the finals? - you wouldn't want a studied game plan gutted by the opposition at the pointy end of the season I'm guessing his reasoning for this might be?

Still, care needs to be employed so that all players understand any tweaks and new structures - Id hate to see confusion on the park during the finals run let alone the actual finals games
That's just me being a little skittish I guess...

Glad to see you bring up this point as I am sure a few supporters will have some input into our weaknesses.. Or their alleged problems. We tend to have tunnel vision and only see the same things in every game :)

Agree Grump we do see Match Plans that do annoy us and consistent things in this plan that annoy us but I am sure Bill and his coaching staff know and are working on this

A couple of things that annoy me are:

We usually have 1 BAD qtr where we let the opposition back into the game. Cant pin down the qtr but usually the 3rd or last?

At times the opposition always to have a lot of loose players and we dont MAN up so if we do a handover etc they can quickly move it forward. You see it in every game. Ok maybe it comes down to our style of play and match plan?

Our handover rate is sometimes incredibly bad and we do not hit the mark or kick straight back to a opposition player. We have to look at our disposal.

At times I get pissed off when 1 player goes in and the others are spectators. I have always been a great supporter of Numbers to the ball instead off being a Seagull and waiting on the fringes.

But then having said that we are well placed on the ladder but we have had a couple of VERY close ones where we have won by a point or two. Now if it had of gone the other way WE WOULD BE IN THE MIX fighting for 4th spot.

Thanks for your input anyway mate.. Something rare on this thread :(

This is where I also find I'm startled and perplexed when it happens, we fall into this glut of muddledum and seemingly see no other options than to kick to contests, handball to a man under pressure, stop running and instead look for the boundary runner??? by this time the boundary is a train station of passengers looking for a ride..
Very frustrating when you would think better heads exist out there...

I am aware of several players who are frustrated beyond kindness by this insistent adherence to a game plan (yes it does work 75% of the time)and not opening up to the possibilities of the play ahead of them at THAT TIME or inspirational deviations to verbal instruction.

But as the "A Team" says - I love it when a plan comes together!!

Re my post on WAFL HISTORY from the Footy Budget this week

Garlic Munchers v Garlic Munchers on prev page.
No coach for WPFC? Maybe George or Bob Spargo would be the go?
Don Marinko did coach for 1 season as well

I have no doubt we will drop 2 or 3 games before the regular season is done, but we can't afford to drop these games !

This is going to an interesting match. West Perth would not want to take Souths lightly otherwise it will be to their peril. And no Wafl being broadcast on abc radio this round :( How are people in the rural areas supposed to listen to it? Or don't they matter?

Wholeheartedly agree with the lack of coverage comment...

Pity if you are a rural citizen and follow the WAFL because the care factor shown is less than acceptable
I have found I/2 the time it is on the radio, stations that do have it have a broadcast range of approx. 20 Yards - What's with that...

Regards the V's teams - I do n0ot think that WP are going to take SF lightly - if they were most of the guys slightly underdone would be spending another week in the ressies (incl. the captain, and that isn't the case
Good game ahead of us me thinks!!
