So an ex swans president walked up to potente before the start of the game and said west perth are sh!t and at the end of the game geappen walked up to potente and said something similar. Bill was not impressed. So who are the sh!ts, very disappointing from the black quacks, i would of thought a bit of foul language would of been more appropriate from the bombo valley mob, but sh!t, very disappointing. Didn’t the umps make a game of it, hey. All the holding ball decisions going the quacks way in the last quarter. I know what the problem is, the bombo valley mob are confused, rudd the duds back and they don’t know who to vote for. I love going down to bombo valley, those stolen bread rolls in their hamburgers are just tasty.

I would be disappointed too if Tim said that to Potente after the game. Although all Steve needed to do would be to point at the scoreboard and also mention the premiership table, so what are Swans if West Perth are no good????

Instead of focussing on all this negative stuff like umpiring or who said what, why not talk about what an intense competitive game of WAFL footy that we saw today. Both teams were hard at it and for most of the day the defences of both teams were on top. The guy who played on Garlett (Rasmussen?)did a great job as he only got 6 touches.

Yet again Swans had more possessions than the opposition but I just felt that West Perth were a little cleaner and more precise with their kicking and Swans were inclined to handball too much yet again. I also thought West Perth had their chances to put us away in the 3rd quarter but they wasted a number of opportunities when they were right on top and this inaccuracy kept Swans in the game. In the last quarter Swans had a few opportunities to grab the lead, but we missed some very gettable set shots. When Newman kicked the goal at the 26 min mark, I thought we just might snatch it but no such luck. It would have been a steal because I felt that the Falcons had the better of the last 3 quarters and seemed to be in control of the game for most of the time.

So that puts Swans back amongst the pack. The results this weekend are starting to sort out the contenders from the pretenders. West Perth and East Perth look like they are going head to head for second spot, whereas Perth's spot in the 4 seems to be the only one up for grabs. Thats why it is a must win game for Swans against the Dees at Bassendean next week. We can't afford another loss at home if we want to play finals. If Swans miss out it won't be because of today,I'm thinking more about a few games we dropped to lower teams earlier in the season which has us continually playing catch up footy this season.

Anyhow, well played West Perth and look forward to the next game which I think is at Bassendean again in round 23

without question BH, i think wafl umpiring in general is at its low ebb, parry is a dodo. he should be dropped to the federals thirds.

Did you actually read my post Screemer? I wasn't being critical of you raising this issue, I would rather just focus on how good a game it was.

If Bill wants to worry about that kind of insignificant stuff then good luck to him, as he will have much more to deal with when the season hots up in the business end when it really matters!! I would have thought it was play time stuff really 'IF' indeed anything was said..and 'IF' it was I am sure it was all in healthy rivalry as I know off the ground these guys get along just fine
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

and thats fair comment mike, i dont believe it was a good game, it was marred by crap umpiring, yes there was good play, top marks but both teams missed easy goals and there were so many turnovers.

He is a tough kid mate, like I said these guys get along off the field and his sister is Wayde Twomeys missus, im sure there is nothing in it, a few words here and there are part and parcel of the game
