Good win by the boys, Blacky and Crispy were brilliant,I thought the move of Pedders to forward line was a good one by Bill and I like the way we keep plugging away. Consistent close wins are a sign of a good side.

Wow A 1 point win to Australia v Lions so it will all come down to the Sydney game. Got a try in the last 2 minutes converted and 1 point up. Poms had a penalty shot in the last 30 seconds and missed.. 1 ALL.. — feeling happy

Now this is going to get me off side with a couple of WPFC people so I will only say it once on this thread.

A bit of Slagging went on - so What. It happens in all sports and this was certainly not the worst. Now we wont talk about WP V EP games will we?

For a coach to come out with his Tirade against the SDFC after the game in front of supporters,Team and staff was uncalled for to say the least.
If he had a complaint he should of gone through the President to lodge a formal complaint through the official channels. Now I am not really sure what the complaint would of been?
Oh a x president and a player told a player he was playing for a shit club
Shit we have to be a bit HARDER than that if we are to succeed.

All Bill has done is inflame the situation and blow it out of proportion.

I am sick of Political correctness and the way the country is going as a whole. The players from the past would be turning in their graves.

How can you tar a whole club with a comment like We had a good relationship with SDFC BUT NOT ANYMORE. Bit dramatic.. Gee we have a few in the Defence force getting into trouble but we certainly dont compare the whole Defence force with these people. Point is how can you blame a whole club for the comments of a couple???

I enjoyed the game and it was a great game of footy in the True WAFL tradition.
I congratulate our guys for a brilliant effort against a Club that always gives us a good game in the WAFL tradition.

I went to the Presidents lunch beforehand with Leedy courtesy of Justin Simpson and all I can say is the two clubs have a very strong relationship and it was great to see all the greats there like Bill Walker, Mel Whinnen, Keith Narkle, Bill Dempsey, Ron Boucher and Spud Slater etc trading stories and enjoying a good meal and drinks
