Bit of a misleading headline. He said he’d love to get an AFL shot but he’s probably missed the boat. Wasn’t sure if he would play at all. He can come back to the Sharks!

Zac Clarke delisted by Essendon....surely with Subi's recruiting restrictions...and ex Freo ruck Jones going back to EP...Perth surely would be the next club financially able to meet big Zacs demands...

Yes I would also hope that Clarke is on our radar.
Not sure where you get the idea we are flushed with funds.
May have to carry a blanket around the ground.
I am sure other supporters would help us with recruiting funds, particularly Subi.

If my memory serves correct we had serious talks with Clarke last time and just missed out to Subi, again. So maybe he seriously considered us last time. Maybe ex team mate Tendai might put in a good word for us.

I hope someone picks him up if he does come back to WA as he's a class act at WAFL level and would be good for the comp.

money talks, Swans and WP also thought they were a chance.
reality was he was only going to Subi.
whoever provides the best job will probably get him and that may be in Victoria.

Under new recruiting rules WP will be banned from recruiting outside their zone because they are a financial basket case. Also a moral basket case because Loopy wants to see the wife basher back in the WP jumper.

DD, I have to disagree with your take on Riddoch. That is not in any way to excuse what he did, but when you look at guys like Pickett and Krakouer, footy can be instrumental in people turning their lives around. It doesn't always work, as with Shane Yarran. But footy clubs provide structure, discipline and pro-social people who can help players with employment and other issues. So Riddoch got his sentence, he is entitled to appeal and if playing footy helps him move on, so much the better.

As to the topic at hand: Brooksby would be a good get. At the age of 30, his AFL prospects are over, so he may not be inclined to train harder for less money at Subi. I see Kristi Annear though has been tempted by a lower paying job at Subi. Happy to sound out Clarke as well.

Tropiano doesn't sound terribly interested. I curse our luck: we could have been in a position to get Troppy and McInnes, a midfielder and ruckman, for a total of 4 points, leaving us with enough points to get two other 10 or 12 point players. Still, no sense lamenting what might have been, we have to make sure we recruit quality, not just top-up players.

Ted it's not Rudy's first rodeo. I believe he already had a spent conviction for the same offence against the same woman. Yes hear what you're saying about others but they didn't assault a woman who happens to be his partner and mother of his kids and he committed this offence in a car in front of his kids. Great advertisement for the WAFL parading this bloke around praising his onfield deeds.

He should take up another sport. Can I suggest MMA? Let's see how tough he is hitting a bloke his own size who is also trying to knock his block off.
