Thought I'd get in early starting this thread as the boys hit the track tonight the thoughts should now be well and truly on this weeks opponents in East Fremantle.

As I said earlier on another thread, Ben Giobbi played reserves last week and should come back into the line-up this weekend. Lachie Dennis missed with a knee injury and I'm not too sure how severe it is. Mitch Lague should be available for selection this week at either level as he was only listed as a week away.

Out of the players that came into the squad of 25 last week, Marshall Jones took 6 marks and kicked 2 goals, Shaun Smith had 20 disposals, 6 I50's and kicked a goal while Bradley McPhail had 18 possessions and took 7 marks.

Others to play well were Kurtis Chester with 23 disposals, 5 marks, 5 tackles, 5 I50's and kicked 2 goals while Daniel Horan had 25 possessions and 6 marks. Out of those 25, 22 of them were kicks. I think at times we overuse the handball so if Horan has a tendency to kick the ball more often then I think this could be a good thing.

There's probably one or two that look like they made need a spell in the two's but do you mess with a winning team when you make too many changes. I guess that's the question Earl and the Football Department will be asking themselves.

If everyone listed above is fit to go I'd be looking at bringing in Giobbi, Lague and Chester.

No doubt one out of Ninyette or Bennell will be licking their lips at the prospect of another goal haul this weekend....no doubt White will be looking to kick a few too......u guys need the win more than EF....so good luck to you guys....

Last time was a dry day I think Freezin and with the rain we will be having this week should make things interesting.

Anton Scotney apparently hurt his hamstring in the first quarter.

Its a pity Scotney injured himself, he is developing nicely and can take a great overhead mark. He would be one of our leading goal kickers if can straighten up a little bit.
When you consider we lost him in the first quarter and had 1 short all game, we did well to over run the Chunder in the last term.
Lague and Giobbi have to be certain inclusions this week if fit.
Also noticed Spencer White pull up a bit sore in the last quarter after a marking contest, he played on but I wouldn't be surprised if he is on the injury list again.

Apeness was also injured early in the game for Peel.

Belly is back and Shaun Smith will also play I have been informed. Also Garstone will run for the ressies this week. Apparently Browne was dropped due to disciplinary reasons along with DBW.

They didn’t want to risk Scotneys hamstring so will give him a week and Giobbi is expected back after the bye after injuring his hamstring on Monday.

Great to see Belly back. Gee, that is disappointing by Browne. He's finally found a role to play in that forward line. Not a good time to be giving up your spot in the team.
