Also guys I am a Swans supporter and let me say to you Demons fans that you guys were deserved winners no matter what happened at the end. If we had won it would have been a steal.

Well said Mike and spot on. It would have been a steal and I would have been spewing if we lost yesterday after dominating the first half and the first ten minutes of the third. I would have been getting stuck into McMahon and the match committee as well for leaving out Murray when Lammie went to town in the third quarter.

If I was a Swans supporter I'd be taking some comfort in the fact Swans played 30 minutes of decent footy and nearly pinched it from a 7 goal deficit. Attitude not talent was Swans problem yesterday just as our attitude is what got us over the line because Perth team's past would have folded like a deck chair after Swans hit the front late.

Yep, that was one that Perth would have dropped last year for sure so they definately have more resiliance in the group which augers well for the season.

Dazzler I believe that it is the senior players that gave Murray timeout not the coach.

Also there may have been another misdemeanour.

I hope we can overcome this because he is potentially one of the best ruckmen in the comp.

My translator tells me this means "WTF! I have just cost my team the game" :silly:

At times yesterday we were very good and at other times it looked like it was going to get ugly. We were probably at our best at the time Swans finally grabbed the lead. In past years that would have been the signal to drop the head and concede. But not yesterday. The boys refused to give in and they maintained the pressure and their cool to snatch it back at the death.
Some say we were lucky but that is footy. You take the good with the bad and yesterday IMO we deserved whatever luck we got because we showed a belief in our ability and refused to give in.
That is one of the big improvements the team has achieved so far this year and if they maintain that belief then there will be no limits.
That 50 m penalty was unusual but it was there and it was paid.

Was that the trainer who caused the 50m or the player kicking out who handed Kyle Reimers a birthday present?

I know he is a much maligned player but I liked Dene White's game yesterday.

23 disposals and was moved on to Hilderbrandt at one stage and did a job on him.

His run is good and his disposal yesterday was excellent.

In fact I have seen an enormous improvement in disposal from the whole team.

Confidence I think.

Well done Dene, keep at it.

I thought the men in orange were sensational again today, especially in the last 5 mins when the game was on the line, geez they really know how to step it up in a tight game, they would be in my best tonite for sure!! Well done Perth = Finals bound

You hinting that the umps cost the might swans ANOTHER game dog?

That 50 meter penalty was utter BS

Yeh it was a disgrace!! Fuckin maggots cost us today!!

I hope my old man didn't stir you up too much last night... I told him too

Haha nah we had a good chat last night, we both agreed on the incompetence of umpiring today in general which can be sheeted home to the ump coaches who would actually drop an umpire for showing common sense..but overall taking that farcical finish out of it yesterday, one thing the Demons showed us in the first half and more particularly the second term was how to attack a game with intensity from 2.10pm not 3.30pm, we had our pants pulled down but to our credit turned it around and got back in it. I wouldn't get carried away with it though as McMahon and co wouldn't have been happy how you stopped to walk, and looked physically stuffed, just as Harding would be pulling his hair out as to how our players for the second week in a row just rocked up thinking it will all fall into place, it was a hot day played in 2 halves and a draw would have been fitting between 2 teams that are going to be around 4th, 5th, 6th this year I suspect. Good luck to Perth the WAFL needs a strong Perth and I hope you keep up your winning ways!
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!
