po.cocko wrote: Why would you be comparing Perths recruiting to Subiacos?
Subi would only recruit what they think they need for 20131

Have you created a new Mayan calendar Cocko?? 20131 is too far ahead for me to get my head around. Anyway, the world is going to end tomorrow so no-one should worry anymore.

Good luck to Subi with their new recruits. If they have gone and headhunted the players they need then goodo. You must have a heap of young talent coming thru who are going to step up to the big time.
Perth needed to get very active in the recruiting stakes and IMO have done well to gain the players they needed to top up the squad and cover their deficient areas. The are still one or two areas to fill and we then hopefully will have a well balanced squad that will be focussed and competitive.
Heaven knows it is well past the time that we got our act together.

HA HA terror my wife thinks I am weird for sitting down after work talking on these f$#in forums but unfotunately as a perth supporter its all I have as many other blokes who follow our lowly club have to particpate in something positive! And your probably right all the other clubs think we take drugs and some of us probably do but anything to numb the pain of 30 years of drought!

With Bush back (and fully fit) and McInnes better after his rookie year, and Tunbridge who showed plenty when it was realised that he is a forward and not a defender we should have good targets up forward supported by the likes of Davis (hopefully), Reimers, Bateman, Stack, Leeson, Donovan, Moody, Bevan etc moving thru the forward line.
In turn, we should be able to cover the loss of Rossco in the midfield with Ali Smith, Cruise (hopefully), Bevan, Hodgey (tagger), Moody (I would play him as a mid), Florio, Leeson, Sketcher, O'Sullivan, Rogers (hopefully), Reimers and Bateman.
Whilst Rossco is a huge loss it should be remembered the Ali Smith had just as many take aways last season from centre bounces and stoppages and hopefully the likes of Sketcher, Bateman, Reimers, and Bevan as in and under mids will more than cover the loss.
I think that our most crucial need is some tall timber down back. Bills and Zuccs cannot do it alone and we need height to counter the tall forwards like Josh Smith, Chad Jones etc.
Just my view on things. As always I take a positive outlook and look towards us being a much improved and more competitive outfit in 2013.

Zucca is definitely not playing at Perth this year. He is fielding several offers from Country and will most likely join the club that provides the most $$$.

Strange isn't it there is no response from the faithful? I wonder what the spin will be on his departure? Once considered a true Demon through and through and probably one of the players some have referred to when challenging others to talk to the players and ask them what they think of the coach and you might be surprised by the answer you get??

Aaron Zucconi's departure says it all.

Sad to see him go. Always gave his absolute best on the field. A great clubman and will be sorely missed. All the best Zucca. ;)

South Fremantle is a massive smokey for me this year. If some of their talented kids can step up then they should be around the middle of the table but if they don't then they could find themselves down the bottom.

Always the coaches fault DD.

When will you ever give up and talk about something interesting or new.

Give it a rest ffs we are sick of hearing about it.

I thought you had gone to Peel.
