What we really need to do is stop regurgitating this shit.
We have new Clubrooms coming and we are centrally located.
And tell me how that will improve our on field fortunes? Make the players play better footy? 😂 Head in the sand stuff.

So new clubrooms at a new venue will apparently solve Perths 40+ year irrelevance but new clubrooms at your current home won’t make a difference to your Leagues onfield performance…
Peter German, if given the time and resources,  will make the cultural and over time onfield improvement that Perth have been wanting for decades.
The Perth zone has consistently produced AFL talent, but unlike other WAFL clubs, it’s consistently been unable to retain its WAFL League talent.
The only detrimental issue your current zones have are their proximity to Perth FC…A Grade Ammo sides have and will consistently pull players from Perth and the Avon FL clubs have more money available than Perth can compete with.
As they say, success breeds success…40 years of mediocrity continues to breed mediocrity

TT interesting post.
There are countless Colts players who should have graduated to League level but didn't.
Can't recall the last Colts Captain to play League.
Our last Colts premiership was 1999 where 6 were drafted in the one year.
The Coach was let go (Murray Couper) because he told a kid the truth and Mummy & Daddy didn't like it.
They also didn't like it when he told them their kids were his during the game and that he was the Coach.
We have been very prudent over the last 23 years making profits every year except for one modest loss.
Not sure we know how to play the paper games some other Clubs do.
I recall about 2008 Subi added Phil Read and Daniel Chick to their already overladen list.
They told the Comp they were straight out of AFL to play for Subi for the LOVE of the Club they knew nothing about.
You are quite correct we now have some people at the Club that know what a footballer looks like and can change the culture of the Club.
And German is a proven Coach.
Our Colts sit unbeaten after 10 rounds and I have identified 14-15 kids that I am very interested in.
They are playing great running football that the top League sides run rings around us with.
Our challenge is to see some of these kids graduate to League.
German just needs some time and with some prudent recruiting we can turn things around.
Success will bring fans and money.
If and when PFC ever get to a Grand Final the stadium will be filled to the brim with long staved supporters.
It is exactly what this Comp needs.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

The football world needs to cut the crap about PFC merging or relocating.
It is written into the Constitution!!!!!!
It will never happen without the members saying they want it.
And guess what?
So all you "in the know" journalists how about finding something else to write about?
Including you Clownsend.

Now lets talk about footy.

Don’t try to stupify what I said TT. By relocating we force the commission to remap the zones so we will have access to new growth areas and maybe some some quality areas with middle income working families so we might start seeing some kids coming through that are strong, tall and healthy young lads living a healthy lifestyle so we might have a chance of climbing the ladder and compete with the more privileged clubs like yours.

Old codgers like DF want to stick their heads in the sand and believe things will just miraculously change without changing anything. Get your head out of your ass DF. Lathlain is not central to our zones and future zones, it’s just a lazy and convenient option to ride the coattails of the wealthy WCE. Make no mistake about it, remain at Lathlain and WE WILL become West Coast’s bitch one day soon.

What absolute shite. Privilege breeds success and in your case you've even managed to balls that up.

Our zones are fked. You do get that right? It's based on demographics and socio-economic profile. Nothing else. We don't have the golden corridor of the west coast from Mosman Park to North Beach or the man mountain range of the Great Southern or excitement of the Kimberley like you do. You lot should be winning premierships EVERY year with your riches. It's an embarrassment you don't convert your near total domination of the colts into premierships. Maybe mediocrity has something to do with it???

I noticed Claremont weren't prepared to give up anything in the 2022 zone review by the WAFC even though every club's submission and the WAFC concluded themselves Claremont's zones are too good. $ even wanted the Great Southern, and they know privilege when they see it.

What's been proposed here is a move to the only growth corridor we have in our zone. Just like EP are proposing to do. It's smart. It's a least worth thinking about. And if the board isn't thinking about it, then it is not doing its job.

For what its worth,I reckon German and lathlaine Park are  worth persevering with for a bit longer. That said, good to work on plan b at the same time .

I hope we are definitely persevering with German JL because he has raised the bar like no one since Mal Brown. He’s setting standards like we haven’t seen in yonks. Nothing wrong though with planning for the future. Redeveloping Lathlain and planning for the future are not incompatible.

DD, I hear what you say, but simply moving with the hope of forcing the Commissions hand on zones is plain silly. The only way you can make that sort of move is only after you have an agreement from the WAFC that, should you move to, where ever, they will guarantee in writing the zone boundary changes that you are after. All that apart from being able to convince a Local council and the state government to provide funding for such a move. If you can get all those ducks lined up, then I believe it can only benefit your club long term.
