I'm confused with the rotation strategy, seems players play a game and then get rested......
I think we will struggle to get passed the group stages

BH, what would be your team for the ODI WC then? Actually what be most folks starting 11 fot this WC....Besides Warner none of the top 6 are in any decent form....and the bowling attack just as rusty.....Inglis and Carey are both hit n miss...

Keeping in mind that final squads are due on Thursday so changes could still be made.

Assuming Marnus replaces Head in the squad I reckon they will go with

Warner
Marsh
Smith
Labusagne
Stoinis
Maxwell or Green
Carey
Starc
Cummins
Hazlewood
Zampa

If Marsh can bowl this gives the team 7 options

even though the Cup is held on the subcontinent - might have seen one of the finalists last night against Ireland
England were on track to easily set a big world record score
at one stage they were 0-70 off 5 overs and got to 100 off just 8 overs (48 balls)
washed out result though and got to 280 off just 30 overs
some huge scoring coming up very soon it looks like

Have to temper that a bit with the knowledge that the Ireland bowling was absolute rubbish, 4 and 6 balls served up every over. The English will be tested more on the turning Indian surfaces by better attacks.

mikeh, I reckon majority of that side you put forward, similar to my thoughts, all fit under BH's criteria of living far too comfortably on and off the park with little or no Aust management heat. Super interested to hear what BH thinks is Aust best WC ODI side.

their two opening bowlers aren't all that rotten mate - there was a 100% predetermined attack plan for sure
but yes there will be other challenges in India

had a very good opportunity to get momentum in an innings practice
left Maxwell in the shed too long
now it'll be a battle to not get bowled out

Would you like my side from those chosen in the squad and or personal choice?

By the way a few questions for you Freeze....
How is your wonder boy coach going?
What is his overall win/loss record across all formats?
And what young talent has been developed and flourished under his tutelage????

Mate ....I am pretty sure I have never said Peanut was/is the wonder boy.....just  interested how all his detractors seem to know Peanut sings Kumbyah ballads and gives cuddles to the players in the changeroom. Do you have a back stage pass mate?.

Peanut in my eyes, is no better or no worse then JL coaching wise. One is an angry ant, the other a Gospel singer....wouldn't surprise if both their win/losses were similar TBH.

Personal  ODI 11 thanks BH....because obviously you dont want to select any of those over rated, soft as players Peanut sings Kumbyah too.
