Not sure Australia winning 8 in a row to make the WC Final is due to any coaching influence at all, we have got through on some individual brilliance, I have yet to see a real complete performance with all of the bat, ball and in the field as yet and not likely too in the Final either with India $1.01 to win easily!
I will say Cummins has played a couple of intelligent composed innings with the bat under pressure so gets a tick there.
I tend to think apart from India and to a lesser extent SA & NZ the competition has been a bit ordinary or out of form especially England & SL.
The Pakis were well just the Pakis its either the penthouse or the shitehouse with them sometimes in the same game rarely any middle ground!
The others are really minnows in Afghanistan, Bangladesh & Netherlands and even they had their moments where they made fools of supposed better sides!

Some controversy coming into the final.
Pitch inspection by the Captain,Coach and some senior players
The curator's where watering the centre of the pitch.Notably not watering the dead dark grey patches around both crease lines.
Not good enough for a ICC WC final..Dead patches about 300mm from the wicket location. The Indian spinners are going to cause some major havoc.
Both sides have to bat on the same wicket.

DD I'm going to have a great week if we knock India off.The younger Indians believe there unbeatable ,atm.

Travis Head take a bow. Might be the most important catch of the tournament. Removes the dangerous Rohit. Just had a curry about an hour ago. Hopefully a good omen for Australia.

3 down now but going for 8 an over.

Definitely a win a lot of folk didn't  see coming.....what a great backs to the wall performance...congrats to the team for delivering under pressure, especially Head, Marnus and the skipper. Definitely Aust best performance all competition, with bat, ball and in the field.

So its cuddles and Kumbyah ballads for all........only the miserable will find a negative vibe to that Aust win.....wholeheartedly agree Aust, weren't the best side during the tournament and  on paper, didn't have a side with an ounce of ODI to it bar the top 3 batsmen. & Maxwell...but you can't fault the grit, determination and will to win shown by the skipper and his team.

Call it good luck and plenty of good fortune, but love him or loathe them,  the record books will show R&P are a  winning WTC and a WC ODI duo.......and that is the bit that bites at a few I guess.

Commentators were saying Australia would need to play the perfect game to beat India, while the perfect game is an impossibility, Australia came as close to it as I've seen, particularly the bowling side. To keep the immensley talented and in form Indian team to 240 all out on a pitch they doctored to their own specification was sensational. Cummins tactics were spot on and the bowlers and fielders did everything asked of them. I was a Cummins critic in the past but hopefully he has come of age as a skipper and can continue this into the future test arena. Many will say the toss was decisive but Rohit said at the toss he would have batted anyway so in the end the toss was irrelevant. Travis Head and Loosebuschange were simply superb and mentally dominated the Indians after the shaky start, Head's brilliant game changing catch and ton were what champion players are made of.

India's tactics backfired from the pitch downwards
it really was a poorly prepared pitch
when Sharma went for that slog and Head took the brilliant catch it all went to poo they never recovered and gave away wickets at bad times
Then had Australia in trouble but didn't have an answer to Head's batting stance
Looked like Vettori picked the wicket and the bowling was tailored to suit

Australia won the big moments and the WC final.
Didn't look to good during the Power Play.Ended with a Head catch with one hand facing the wrong way.
14 Overs without a boundry.
Kohli + Co batted a long time. But there was no bowling weak links. To cash in on.
No misfields kept the massive crowd, quiet.
Bowling first was a masterstroke. The ball didn't spin in India's Bowling innings .

Head and Laba was the perfect partnership in the end.
Looks like India played on there strengths and form. And put Little or no time into there opponents ,in pre game strategy.

Wow, what a win! Completely out thought, out smarted and out played an Indian outfit that went to water once the pressure went on which, as anyone who's played cricket against Indian teams would know, is par for the course.

That catch from Travis Head was a stunner and a match turner.

only twice did the crowd noise disappear during the whole Cup
and both times were in the final
two incredibly quiet patches for India
